Which cinema is this?

I'm guessing the Phahol Yothin, because just above it I asked for an update on that one.

yes , down soi 39. It is huge and always busy. Has anyone been to the Sabai Sabai massage just a few doors down the soi past zap zap bar. Chai was good but only for massage. Korn played a bit and Bot was hopeless.

Went to the Pahol Yothin on Sunday, from about 5pm to 7pm.
It was heaving with guys, I'd say 200+--probably the most I've ever seen in my 20ish visits over the past 10 years.
That said, it may have been the slimmest pickings I've encountered too! I think there were a few problems--first of all, no way to play without literally 4 creeps jumping in. Looking for privacy in the toilets? You had to wait 5-10 minutes for one to be open. Also the average age of the guys seems about 10 years higher than in my past visits.
Hopefully just a one time problem! I will go back this week Thursday or Friday to confirm my analysis :D
All of those negatives makes it sound like I had a bad time; quite the contrary, I found a 24yo slim/muscled guy, and we went to the seats where I blew him for over an hour-he never came but it was fun. He pulled me off his dick to kiss me passionately from time to time; he was very touchy/feely too, it was quite fun.
Then met a 30yo guy, kinda short and well built though, and we went straight to the toilets and after a few minutes got one. He fucked me till we both came.
Still a good time!

As promised, I went to the Pahol Yothin cinema again, from around 445-615pm on Thursday, and it wasn't very good. I did see guys playing in the seats, and fewer people (but still a normally busy day there) so fewer people jumping in.
New problem (at least for me): Four of the six guys I sat down next to asked for money! Yikes. I think the most I've ever had ask for money there was maybe one in ten or twenty.
And none of these money guys were very hot or young; in fact, one muscular guy said he was "39 years old and from Isaan". The only thing I believed was the Isaan part. :D He was over 45, though very nice body. As I sat next to him, he asked for 200 baht "for beer." Umm no thanks.
I did find 2 friendly guys to play with, both with nice bodies, one in his 20s and one in his late 30s I'd guess. But definitely left concerned that this last "good" cinema is turning bad.
Last Sunday was there and while I only got asked for money from one in six guys, it was so crowded that not much sex was actually going on. At least yesterday I did see plenty of sex happening.

Thanks for those detailed reports! I haven't visited any of the local cinemas since the London closed down several years ago. Had lots of fun at that sordid theatre, so it's good to know that there is still some "cinematic" action here in the city.

As long as they're getting their 'tea money' why would they bother?

It's not such a simple matter as getting tea money.

Oftentimes when something like this has light thrown on it, the cops are pressured to make a show of it.

They are having nothing to do with it, though, which is as it should be.

The good news: a larger than average crowd at the State on Sunday.

The bad news: most weren't there to see movies or fool around. Most were there to gamble in the makeshift casino that's been set up in the men's room.
