Just as an expansion on what i said. My 3 ways are not long and involved. They usuually last less then 2 hours which is about the same time as a solo encounter.

I also do them a number of nights in a row so boys know it will not be a 1 time encounter and of course there is usually someone special in there who I always tip more.

Trenthaus I always feel the tip is up to you as long as it meets accepted minimums. If you want to and are able to give more then it is between you and the boys.

- Is the show only on Sunday evening?
- About what time?
- I'm guessing you mean there was a 'hard cock' parade as well as f.... show. Are these the same boys that do the normal 'coyote' dancing during the evening, or it this a different 'troupe' of boys?
- Is the nude / f... show on the main stage just inside the entrance doors, or???
- Where's the best place to see the nude /f...show?
- If it's another troupe, can you 'off' these boys?
- My undestanding was that the normal 'coyote' dancers were not available to 'off'? Is this correct?

I don't see that as being cause for complaint or that it is inflationary.

In Bangkok I see B1500 to B1800 for a moderately short-time as being reasonable, assuming the boy has made it an enjoyable experience (or at least made the effort). I rarely want a boy to spend the night, but again B2500 to B3000 if he was good enough to invite to stay until morning is not unreasonable.

Some people are still using 1990's tipping rates, but the cost of living in Bangkok has moved on. One of the reasons that the number of boys in the bars seems to be thinning out must be that too many of them can't afford life in Krung Thep with the tips they're getting... among other things. It seems to make good business sense that many massage venues state a minimum tip if they want to keep the "better boys" and probably attract more from the ranks of gogo boys.

I wouldn't grumble about rates in BKK. In Sydney last month a cute 21 y.o. student told me he asks, and gets A$220 to $240 an hour (about THB 6,500) which translates to about $1,000 for an overnight stay !

At the other end of the spectrum, competition in Pattaya keeps rates comfortably at THB 1,000 for short time and 1,500 to 2,000 tops for all nite.

Very true. During my recent Pattaya stay, I was never asked for more than 1,000 baht on initial offer from the boys themselves--just while chatting in the bars. I very seldom take any guys/girls out of the bars these days, but I did on this trip (for old time's sake :D ). Actually, a very cute pair offered themselves for a quick 3-way for only 600 baht total! Naturally, I simply could not refuse that offer! ;)

I should have mentioned that the 600 baht 3-way was an early evening event - before most of the bars were really open. The guys (18 & 19) then went on to their go-go bar when it opened. We did have time for a nice, but quick meal before they departed.

I come in Bangkok next month. My favourite bar is Tawan as I like muscle guys with great abs. I read that there were a few in Hot male but the reviews are a little bit old. Does anybody go to this place recently ?
How is it ?

There are some big, "beefy" guys in HotMale, but not really body builder types... at least not the last time I was there a month ago.

Since the posts preceding that one referred to Tawan, it is possible that Scoops was referring to that bar too (which is why I am placing my response in this thread "Bar Reports - BKK").

Indeed, it is an open secret that bar boys have to give a cut to the mamasan each time they get an off, and some mamasans are greedy. With Tawan however, I can't see how the mamasan can be greedy, because unlike other bars, the owner is in attendance almost every night. The owner is reputed to be the type that takes care of his boys; he knows which side of the bread is buttered. I would think he therefore acts as a moderating influence on any mamasan's greed. Probably he'll adhere to custom and allow the mamasan to take a cut in return for managing the boys, but if he knows his business, he'd likely cap the quantum to a very reasonable amount.

I also think the hiring dynamics in Tawan are different from other bars. Elsewhere, much depends on the mamasan in finding and hiring boys, but in Tawan, anyone looking for a job can simply approach the owner since he is readily available. This reduces the leverage of the mamasan on the boys. In other words, no mamasan in Tawan can ever become the tyrants they are in other bars.

However, I am just speculating, but I'd be interested to know if others have more insight into this.
