I have rarely ventured beyond the Silom/Sathorn area, although I used to enjoy Chakran until is became almost totally Thai/Asian. Are there any nice saunas - perhaps in the Ladphrao or Ramkhamhaeng areas - where older westerners of my generation (close to 60) in not too bad shape are welcome and can have a good time with younger Thais?

-- Last thursday, (05th.), late a'noon. - and flg. Khun Icon's excellent dirn's. - I found my way to HEAVEN SAUNA in the BIS. BLDG., phase 2., on Tnn. Mahesak.
- ETA. 17.30hrs.;
- Adm'n.: 130.Bh., (LESS for younger visitors.);
- 4fl. are Recept'n.; Locker-room; Gym. and Bar cum sitting-out space;
- 5fl. are Rest rooms; TV. shewing American hard p*rn.; Dry sauna; Steam sauna; Jacuzzi; Hawng nahm and showers; al fresco sitting-out space;
- Patrons generally 30s. to early 40s. I'd judge, mostly in fair physical shape and mainly Thais; a couple of older farangs.
- Some activity in steam room.
- As a farang I did not feel out of things.
- Bar serves moderately priced drinks - but no food; entertainment provided by a couple of karaoke-singers. One young man there offered to give Papa. a massage - but I didn't accept his kind offer.
- On leaving I asked for a business Card, none available. the Recept'nist. gave me their web-address and added that the massage facility was not available.
- Worth another visit.

Visited THE ORION in Pinklao last week-do not recall any reports on it, so here it goes:
1.easy to reach, its behind the carpark of the TescoLotus just before the Centran Pinklao-a well known landmark, on the main road from Pinklao bridge going west, along the now closed old New Sai Thai Busstation. AC-buses 507-RamIV, 511-Sukhumvit, 542-Chinatown, 516, 556-airport and 177-Silom bring you there. also local buses like 30, 57, 123,124,127 etc. Few buses going back after 23.00-but 511 runs 24 hrs. The busstop is for most after the PATA-get off (also for taxi)-walk back-turn right into soi 9 and the sign is behind the carpark-just follow it-its in a enclosed Mu-Ban with the entry at the other side-full of cars. Their website makes it look much furhter out as it is.
2.arrival at 20.30-just when I found it I saw a BiB enter-and this always sets off my alarm-bells to avoid. So I took a walk around the block and found a male-only karaOke bar just out of the MuBan-left side (did not ask there anyting-maybbe just a random hit), and IN the MuBan seem to be 2 boarding houses-big groups of lads with just shorts on sitting out-some maybe illegal Chinese-but got 1 soft ''I go with you''-so farang are not that unknown. The Tesco just left out its dayshift-dozens of workers in green-many big smiles and come-ons.
3.2nd arr 20.45-entry is 200 bt/weekend and 150/weekday, closes at 1.00 am and thats clearly posted everywhere. Price a bit steep for suburban BKK. It is 2 fairly narrow but 5-floor high shophouses interjoined.
Ground floor is entry, a make-up area with lots of notes for mobuy-nr exchange and all the usual, then a common shower area.
1st fl. has the lockers-about 100/120 total, with own lock and an extra padlock,. No visible signs of break-in or damage to be seen. Beside it in the other house was a kind of bar/even dance-disco-only noted this on dept. You find 2 big towels in your locker.
2nd fl has a exercise/work out area with mahcines-saw noone at any time there
3d fl is the maze/cabins-half lighted/half dark-just 12 cabins or so-some not lockable- or no door. Also the only enclosed shower here-with also the only waterjet bumspray. Here is also a VDO/TV with gay por
4th fl has a tiny dry sauna (not very sweaty-hot), and a slightly larger very hot steamed sauna, common showers and rather stragely arranged, also a kind of living rooim-with normal TV-Thai soap, beach-type deckchairs, and many mags-did not check for gay Thai por available-but guess there are some.
5th fl. has a stocked bar area-also with free coffee/tea and free (the cheapest) Thai whiskey and soda-these were gone by 23.00 though. also an outdoor area and a sign-an open ''room'' for nouat=massage @ 300 bt tip.
And its piece de resistance is the rooftop open--air garden/cruising area with deckchairs, normal seats-some dark grope-area-and lots of plants and gardening-covered for the sun-but from some faraway hotel and condo being possible to be watched with new-style enlargers/camera or so.
A friendly Thai dance professor caught me and showed me all-I would not have discovered this all myself. There were few mozzies-and these like the sweetblooded white skinned most.
The whole was 10 yrs old but not showing this age-well kept, fairly clean and no khong=things ''siaj=broke or mot=finish.
There were about 30/40 patrons-a good mix of ages, mostly around 30/40 yrs-maybe 40% the expected-ooy, farang-stay out, and anohter 40% glad to see me- I got quite a few touches at the right spots and smiles. Showers are high on the walls-and have heaters-that were all turned off-I hope thats better in the cool season. IMHO they should have a few more bumsprays.
There also seemed to be some friends-circles meeting and chatting/smoking buree and gossipping.
The VDO was first showing antique Hollywood gay por-boring, but then changed to that amateur Thai gay por-same story-but much more attractive. So I sat down, was soon joined with others who liked their cruisers being made ready for battle-even 2 at both sides-and one had a nice touch to me-the por had its final-and we had a hot but sadly rather short session in a nearby cabin. These have big rolls of tissue and overflowing bins. Did not see easily spottable condoms/lube-but the other one came prepared with. In the sauna was a unique sight for me- a very thin Indian lad-about the first I ever saw in a BKK-venue.
By 23.00 most had gone and some staff already started cleaning up.
Thus; well worth a visit, come early, and bring OFF (as you cannot take it there...555) or skeetolene (stinks) if you want the garden delights.

Question: RamKamHeang sauna's_have no time now to scan all the old reports and cannot really remember-except some namechange as to what is now NEVADA-real reports. There are said to be at least 4:
FAROSE 2 is soi 21-I walked into that soi just 60 mins ago-but did not spot it.
TORPEDO-soi 24-the real ABAC uni area
GAYSORN-soi 53
NEVADA-soi 81-closest to the notorious soi 89 LamSalee closed off gay soi.
Assume lots of students-but am mainly interested if its the sticky-rice only variety or more open to white skin.

Actually I now sit in a webshop in soi 29-this shop used to have a real cutey spiked-hair slim, small boy-always with a very, very big smile-mostly sleeping when I come early mornings-but now there is a fat chinese girl.

Any one know where to find any reasonably up-to-date listings?

Note in addition to what has been written is has NO AC and is open-air-so there may on times be loads of mosquito's too. It closes at 3.00 am-so might indeed catch the rests after bar-closure-but I am no late-stayer at all.
