Just do what you should do in any other bar or club where this service is on offer, if you don't like it: Before he gets started with the massage, say "No thanks", smile politely and don't tip him. No need to be rude, but also no need to tip for a service you don't like.

To the best of my knowledge, both Mekin and small Nop now have sponsors and haven't worked for several months.

Hello, guys. I've been reading this thread since a few years ago. Finally registered.
I live in Bangkok for almost 4 years. I'm always interested in muscular boys, especially Tawan boys. I thought that I can share something.
I have a friend whom Makin's friend. My friend is not a gogo boy or used be. He told me that had the opportunity to have drink with Mekin. Mekin was taking about sponsors. Has 10 sponsors, (6 gays and 4 women). And he became a millionaire. I'm not surprised that Mekin is so rich since I don't know when. And Mekin will be married in chammai and doing his own job. Mekin has a fiancé who knows that he has sponsors.

Almost 6 or 7 years ago, that was first time to go to Tawan bar for me. I know it's not my business, just curious, it's not only Mekin, Tong, Prap or Lun (Panupong) etc etc… all Tawan stars. I think Tawan bar is the place where boys look for sponsors. Boys quit being a gogo boy. So after that? Being supported is not forever. Some boys come back to work at the bar. Then get new sponsor, quit, and coming back again. I know it depends on their sponsors or boys themselves, but how many years more they are able to do this business. You guys know about boys more than I do. Boys who used to be popular, let's say most of them are being successful for some kind of business? I miss some boys in the past. No idea what are they doing now or where.

If I get some new things, would be coming back here.

thanks miraculous for joining in. it certainly helps having an ear on the ground in bangkok.

speaking about sponsors, another guy that seemed to have had a sponsor is keng. the boys confirmed he has a sponsor, so he has stopped working. i'am just wondering if you can off them if outside the bar? i did not know that prap used to work in tawan. actually miraculous, i have not seen any of the boys you mentioned come back after their sponsorship stint.

another lucky boy i saw in tawan was suwit. not the old suwit. this is a new boy. why do i say he is lucky? well he is carrying around a samsung tablet given by a client. the other boys seem to envy him, and joke around swiping the face of the tablet while he is using it. this new boy has tattoo all over his body and is pretty well endowed judging from the chuckwow show finale.

the show was pretty much what it used to. with some changes. one segment has 2 musclemen feel each other on stage. another segment with 5 musclemen, the 2 pairs sucking each other, which will be quite a sight when they become in shape for the competition. while the 5th with the masks jacks off.

most of the customers this time around were farangs. and they seems to get the boys early. so if you're planning to off a boy, i guess the adage about the early bird hold true here.

-- If I read the recent & various postings aright about the TAWAN CLUB I'm left with the flg. impressions -

1.- The men on stage do not remove their briefs/knickers but wear all the time now;
2.- There is no Big Cock Show;
3.- There is no BOLD Show and
4.- The Grand Finale is a Jack-off act - for wch. one is encouraged- doubtless - to put a 100.Bh. note in the pot to encourage the Wankers!

-- So - what is the continuing fascination with that place? --

Sponsors / lucky / sometimes good / sometimes ?

There are a million stories in this subject. I am well aware of another Suwit, 20 years ago, who was very popular at Tawan, then he moved to Barbiery for several years, and again very popular. He was very macho cute, great body, polite, charming & very personable, very romantic, loved to whisper 'I love you' to his men and wrote quite well construccted love letters usually with a 10 lines or so from romantic poetry, gay but not effeminate, liked much older guys. He spoke excellent English, his first sponsor paid for several years of English lessons at AUA plus extra coaching, and he was a good and determined student. He met an Australian sponsor whilst at Tawan which was an on / off drama filled arrangement over several years. I met the Australian several times with other local friends. On and off - why, because Suwit told the guy so many lies . He had multiple sponsors, he milked them all for big money, numerous motorcycles, gold, condos in Bkk, and lots more, and he talked negative about all of them. He told the Australian and the other sponsors many many times that he had to go home quickly to Buriram because his mother / father / brother were very sick, all along with requests for big cash. In reality he was on holidays with one of his sponsors in Phuket or Chiang Mai or Hong Kong or Europe, or ...

The Australian eventually took him back to Sydney and made him the sole heir to a fortune in property in the expensive suburbs of Sydney. Suwit started again to develop a Sydney based network of sponsors, and tried to hide it all from No 1 sponsor with a myriad of lies. Later the first one died and Suwit became a multi A$millionaire. Suwit was on holidays in Bali with another sponsor when the guy died, he was contacted but didn't return to Sydney for the funeral. He has since inherited further valuable property and big cash from more of the other Sydney sponsors. In reality he gave them nothing but lies and deceit.

He's now a very rich man, his family live in luxury in Buriram, he now lives in Bkk with an older Thai lover, also wealthy.

i don't think that suwit is the same guy that i met in the bar. coz if it was 20 years ago, you met him while he was 5 years old and was already working in the bars

- So you have in fact corrected your own & earlier statement of '...which begs the question ... .'.

- So, for example, for the Big Cock Show do the young men walk around in their full & nude glory or just pull-down discreetly their briefs for a brief sighting? I remember that once, and not too long ago, one YM. used to attach a tinkly bell to his erect member for the au naturel walk-around!

"Sponsors"

The question of "sponsors". The victims of Suwit may have died happy men but they were foolish, deluded and duped. I admit that I visit countries like Thailand and Brazil with the idea of meeting young men for sex and am prepared to pay for it. I get great sex they get money. Middle aged and elderly foreigners who visit these countries seeking "true love" frankly I feel sorry for. As stated by one one contributor above the stories of foreigners being ripped off where heart ruled head (my words) are legion.

I can give 2 examples from people of my acquaintance. A friend met a boy in Morroco about 10 years ago and visits him twice a year. This boy has an endless litany of reasons why my friend should send money (too numerous to list here) but the latest beats them all. He is in jail and wants a large sum of money to bribe the prosecuting authorities to let him out. After some reluctance my friend has acquiesced. The other example is a current work colleague who met this Fillipino boy on the internet and they have regular webcam sessions. The money requests for all the bleeding heart reasons started early and my colleague openly admits he is now nearly penniless. This boy is offering every excuse in the world for not coming to Australia. How many others must this boy have in tow! I am sorry but I am just unsentimental or am I missing out on something? I don't think so.

One reason I dont have a Thai live-in boyfriend is I have no intention of being milked dry by these guys. I see some guys 2 or 3 times, but as soon as the subject turns to sick buffalo, moms diagnosed with cancer or dad in gaol and have to bail him out to plant the rice harvest, they're gone.

It may seem calous, but there are hundreds , nay thousands of guys out there who can provide me with sexual services for fair payment for services rendered, without selling my soul or mortgaging the farm.

Once you understand that a farang b/friend is a meal ticket for the whole family, you are far better prepared to avoid being sucked dry. Read any of the 4 novels by John Burdett in the Bangkok Tattoo series, and you will understand it even more. Their over-riding obligation is to family, and no farang will ever usurp that obligation, he merely facilitates it.

I think the appropriate adage is: 'There's no fool like an old fool' - or 'A fool and his money are soon parted' - although where the fool got his money from in the first place is another question !

I really don't understand the lonely guys who look for "love" and then get angry at the "boys". Why don't they look for guys or men! I am not interested in boys who work in bars. I have lived here for over 10 yrs in total and associate with middle and upper class Thais who work and are educated. If their mothers get sick they go to Bangkok General, Bangkok Christian or Bumrungrat Hospital. They take holidays overseas. What is wrong with you guys. I am chubby but have been able to attract real gay guys in BKK. My partner is 7 yrs younger than me. We have been together for 14 yrs and we now live in his room at a 5 star hotel given due to his position. We have both had ups and downs financially and have helped each other out. I drove his car for 7 years. Get real. What the hell do you talk about to a money boy?
