Went there last week, not in his best shape.. i mean the body was not as hard rock as i used to see him before... wanted to off him.. but seeing him like that... well.. gotta wait till the bodybuilding competition season is around.. btw: he's not the only one ... most of the boys that night weren't in their best shape.. the only one that stood out (body wise) was no 55... the one with the "matured" face and wearing a cap..

hummm...

so maybe is it true that what i read that the boys' service / attitude differ based on the clients...

not just based on the clients, but also the state of the young men. you won't be particularly chatty after 2 x 2 hours workout in a gym, and all you had to eat all month was boiled chicken.

some of the boys also gets more comfortable with continued offs. now that could be a bad thing as well. they ask for more stuffs in return, like want to go out watch a movie, eat out, etc.

Last Friday, one of my friends called me to come to Tawan. My friend was there already. I kinda didn't feel like going, anyway I went.

When I got there during the show, were not many customers. Then most of them left after the show as usual. What I was disappointed was staffs and boys. Especially boys are unattractive looking, their bodies look way too toned, something that you can see at Albury or Hero massage. Or less than that.
I was happy to see my friend. But he was really disappointed. I asked him why. His reasons were exact same as what I thought.

Anyway my friend found 2 boys, No.9 Siam Sarajan and don't know his name (see the photo) were on the stage, asked them to come to talk. I couldn't believe that my friend was rejected. They were like furrowing and making mean faces to my friend, treated my friend cruelly. And with those boys, No.?? Santichai Roddrid was also giving an attitude. They didn't tell why and I asked a staff why they act like this. A staff was not caring what's wrong. My friend was shocked and I was mad. I told my friend, just ignore them.

Boys have choice, but in this case, I think they have to tell why they don't wanna talk at least. If they don't, it makes customers mad. I believe that boys are supposed to make customers feel comfortable. Since last time I went there, don't see any improvement about staffs and boys. Especially boys are worth and worth. Unattractive, unfriendly, giving a bad attitude. Staffs don't give you a good service, etc.
Another friend of mine also wanna see Tawan boys, but I can not recommend if those problems would happen again and again. That's why I hadn't been there for a while until last Friday. I heard that someone wants to have fun with muscular boys, they go to massage in these days. Because there are more choice of boys with no attitude. However I know Tawan is the only one place that you can see bodybuilder type of boys ''sometimes''. To me, I found Tawan is not that special. Having said that, I live in Bangkok, so if my friends plan to travel, ask me to see what's going on with Tawan, I would go.

I think that the owner is a problem. The bar is opening for many years. I'm sure he has been hearing a lot of complains of boys from customers. But he basically doesn't care or doesn't try to solve problems. Even a boy fight with a customer in the bar, the owner, staffs and boys don't care. The bar gets customers anyway, so people work there, they become careless or irresponsible. Because that's the owner's opinion how to treat customers. I want them to be nice, friendly or giving a good service. Unfortunately it's hopeless.

The other staff told me that there is no way to off Tong, Mekhnin and some ''stars''. They have enough customers or sponsors outside, so they don't show up. Not able to make an appointment either. Showing up only special show, does not mean you can off them.
I'm not sure that staff said. Some people say stars have been seen before.

And one more thing. Has anyone seen a boy who looks like a woman? I thought that he was a customer. But he took off his shirt then went on the stage. He is so skinny, like lady boy. Tawan bar is getting more different type of boys? Honestly that was weird to see that kind of boy at Tawan.

Based on my knowledge, its not true that under normal situation the Tawan guys and staff will ignore a customer. That's complete bullshit.

The only exception is if the customer has been known to mistreat a Tawan guy or being an unreasonable person, like not paying after sex for example.

i think there are times when a guy working there would suddenly have an attitude and the other boys would rather ignore the incident/change topic than try to explain to customer that his colleague is an ass. i guess this may have something to do with the "face" thing.

the only time when i found the service staff to be ignoring customers is when it is a full house. otherwise they are pretty prompt on their service. a conversation though might be a challenge for some as english would be a challenge for them.

there are first hand accounts i heard from the working men themselves though. like the time a customer bit this guy's nips and his knee jerk reaction could have been considered as assault here in the US. then there's a time when a caucasian customer expected that the 400bht off fee was the only fee he needs to pay. good thing that was cleared up before they went out of the bar.

tawan has always been a hands off kind of bar. don't expect the guy to come over to your table unless he was last night's off. some times even eye contact does not do it. you have to ask the wait staff to ask the guy to go to your table. and yes even though it happens once in a blue moon. sometimes the guys for unexplained reason will reject that request.

Def of "Rejection": When the whores turn you down...

It is a bit of a blow to the ego when you are turned down by a gogo boy who's sole purpose there IS to go with customers...

It has happened to me once at Tawan a couple of years ago....

I was there on holiday and I wanted to try someone new for a change. The staff and regular guys I knew always sat and chatted with me, so it was hard to 'break free' and talk alone to someone new.

I saw a guy in the show the night before suck like a Hoover and I thought he would be a good choice (#30 for anyone counting).

I excused myself form my small group and went to the bathroom. On the way, I said to Mr Pan I was interested in #30. He immediately introduced me. Chit chat was not forth-coming although he spoke good English. I suggested we go for 'massage' after show. He half looked away and mumbled something.. I asked if he was in the show and had to get ready. He mumbled something else and drifted away.

??

I went back to my seat with the regular boys and staff a little confused. It was a bit humiliating, so I paid my bill and left.

I went to a 'normal' massage place on Silom, but got a weedy little twink that kept checking his mobile and massaged as if he was pettng a cat.

I started to think about what had happened at Tawan and started to get angry. 'How DARE he!!' etc. etc .

It was approaching midnight. I decided to go back to Tawan and get someone, anyone for a massage to 1). get back on the horse and not loose my mojo 2). I REALLY wanted to get off by that stage.

Walking back to Tawan was one of the heaviest rains I have ever seen. I was drenched. I got to the door of Tawan and the staff were surprised, but glad to see me again. The boys were mainly streached out on the couch waiting the clock down to knock-off time.

I said to Mr Pan I just wanted a massage with anyone. He said he would get #30 because I showed intrest earlier. I said no, #30 didn't seem interested to go with me. Mr Pan said he would MAKE him go with me and appeared angry that one of the boys had treated me that way.

I screamed "NO!!". I couldn't think of anything worse than being in a hotel room with #30 after he had been 'made' to go with me, and try and have some fun.
I said anyone that wanted to go with me at this last minute, I was just staying over at Le Merridien.

Mr Pan came out with Siam. He said 'How about him?". I asked Siam if he was happy to go to hotel for massage and he said yes, so off we went into the torrential rain across the street to the hotel.

We squelched through the lobby, and were so drenched that we both had to strip off at entrance of my room when we got in.

Siam spoke virtually no English, and he had never seen me before, but he gave me a good massage and we both got our rocks off and then he was into the shower and away. B2000; job done.

We didn't really connect that well so i have never offed him again, but EVERY time I go to Tawan, even after 2 yrs, he pops over and gives me a big smile and says hello and keeps walking. No problems.

Given my experience with him, I can't imagine he would be the type to be rude and condescending to a customer.

The guy in the picture above though.... It is true that the Tawan boys will not speak badly of other guys working there, but if you read between the lines, I think this one is a bit of a tool. I've never had anything to do with him ; and he struts around with an aloof arogance. He sort of embodies everything people criticise Tawan guys for. But that is just my impression from watching him and some comments other guys have made.

My experience with #30 made me realise that you really do need to have some spark of connection with the guy on some level for it to be an enjoyable encounter for both of you. I now stick to my regulars. They know me; I know them; and we genuinely like each other and are comfortable with each other.

Fuck #30! No thank you. Not now.

The guy in the picture above... his name is Chai, well from the surface, he does put on that arrogant attitude, but once you get to know him.. he's a real cutie and charming..

yes, i offed him once (no superstars that night and he was the only guy with the rocking body left)

well... he is nice, cheeky and a gentleman (shock!!). I had a good time with him.. so, he's not all that bad as what people think...

I'm sorry that it happened to your friend.. quite puzzled why they treated him that way... maybe there's a story that we don't know here...

Well there you go. I stand corrected. I'm glad he's a nice guy. It goes to show that the guys , particularly at Tawan, can be quite different alone with a customer than how they appear at the bar. It makes sense that they would t last too long if they were complete ass holes ( no pun intended).

orson, Jizz-wizz and xiluzer
Thank you for your comment.

What happened to my friend was awful. But he was ok, and enjoyed at another place after that.

I have to say this, these is a person who just wants to disagree with my experience, or what I saw and heard. I know some customers are too crazy about Tawan, don't wanna hear any negative comments. When I post something, almost every time the person says like, ''that's not true! It must be a mistake!'' etc etc. also says my stories or experiences are lies. What the hell? The person or those kinds of people are out of control.

I'm not a customer who doesn't pay or treats boys as bad. I do know Tawan and boys. But unfortunately disappointment things would happen sometimes. I can not control with that.

I will continue to post about my story and experience. So if someone doesn't like my post, PLEASE ignore it and do not PM me.
I really don't think here that you can post only positive things. And I'm not trying to let people down about Tawan. I'm just being realistic. Also I don't want anyone attack me or argue with me some sort of way.

Thanks,

I was at Tawan last Friday (Aug. 3) for the show. After reading this thread, I didn't expect much, but boy was I in for a treat. I think they had about six shows, not including the parade of naked men. Some of the guys do seem stand-offish, but it was only my second time in there. I went with a female friend. All the guys seem to like her. I wonder how often women go to Tawan. I've considered offing a guy, but I don't know how I'd feel having my first time with an escort. At least he'd be good looking to me, eh?

Went there on Sunday night (august 5th).. to my surprise Mekhnin was in the line up before the show... i was in doubt whether he was up on the stage just for show (no off cause he's 'special', as reported by posters here)

so i asked the wait staff... and he quickly called Mekhnin... (still in disbelief!!!).. so yeah i offed him that night gleefully.. and yes, he is a very nice person, no attitude, chatty (he told about the expensive watch that he got from someone in Malaysia).. all in all... a very pleasant guy...

oh... he looked very tired that night..

anyway, went back around 11.30, brought a friend ... and no 55 (whom miraculous reported snubbed his friend and treated him like shit) saw me sitting, and with a big smile came to me and sat beside me,he also called a fellow tawan to sit near my friend. It was nice as that was my 4th visit to the place, and now, i felt like i was given a royal treatment. A scenario that you cannot find in any other go go bar in Bangkok.. right?

there you go, my love/hate relationship with Tawan (hate, because of the poor same same line up, and and it's hard to get the superstars, love, cuz once the boys know you (granted you treated them right during your off) they will attend to you and make you feel like you matter)

oh, i saw Mekhnin getting offed again that night.. ha ha.. that means he's back in the market.. yes?
