Hey, guys! Back in Thailand after some good fun Manila-style.

Staying in and around Bangkok/Pattaya for awhile, and could use some friendly advice..

Any venue in either place that offers guys a bit more on the "street tough" type? I am kinda over the soft and twink look, and hoping to have some more edgy fun.

All advice more than welcome... and I promise to report back as well.

For the street toughs and AYOR, go to Lumpini Park in the late afternoon (closing time 8pm?), or Rama IV after 10pm, starting from the corner of Silom Road & Rama IV, all the way to Suriwongse Road. Bring them to the short time hotel, never take them home.

Vassa Boys near the main Boyztown strip had some rougher but OK looking guys when I was there in July. I might try one on my next visit.

- Try taking a walk-around any of the larger construction sites - you'll see their tall cranes on the skyline.
- I u'stand. that if military types are your thing then after 22.hrs. around WAT PO might be fruitful.
- There's always SANAM LUANG - but that can be very much AYOR. and one needs to keep one's eyes fully OPEN for any groups on the look-out for farangs and others perceived to be softer targets.

Let me second scoops' request - please tell us more about your Manila experiences. I may be heading that way myself in a few months.

As for street toughs, you may well find them in the gogo bars nowadays. The boys are older than ever before, more tattooed than ever before, and some of them look positively criminal to me. Might be what you're looking for In Bangkok, try Hotmale, Fresh Beach Boys, Future Boys.

If you're looking for street toughs for massage, try Arena or His - if it's still in operation.

The area between Tn Silom & Tn Suriwong on RamaIV is known amongst my friends as 'Thug Lane'. For most of the evening but getting better later it is one of the places for the sort of guy you are looking for. Just bear in mind that these guys are free lance, not pretty ( a+ for me) and can be dangerous. In earlier times I took a few back to my hotel. Met one lovely fellow who would do all sorts of 'thug fantasy' things. Also had one minor unpleasant experience where a bottle of perfume was nicked. (everything else was locked up!). Don't bring my takeaways 'home' any more and would recommend short time room of which plenty in vicinity.

I fully agree with sloot, especially in regards to the Bangkok bars. Honestly, most of the guys these days do nothing for me, as this is not my 'type' at all. Some places, luckily, have a bit of a mix but I don't recall ever seeing so many bulky, tattooed, motorbike/taxi driver types working in go-go bars before.

No, at A-Bomb I only ever stayed for one beer as the boys were "rough," heavily tattoed , aggressively pushy and not the sort a "gentleman" would invite back to his boudoir ! But probably ideal for the original poster for a short time romp!

A-bomb is nothing like Super A. It only has the interminable stand-on-stage-looking-bored gogo "dancing" so typical of the Pattaya Boyztown bars. No in-bar hands-on action at all.

A-bomb however has differentiated itself as the one Pattaya Bar that has the bigger boys, i.e. generally above 1.7 metres tall, generally over 65 kg. Typically, they would be 1.75m and maybe 70-75 kg. A few of the usual 20 in attendance per night are muscular, though not to the Tawan degree, but most are in one of two categories: (a) mixed muscle and rounding fat, giving a stout look; (b) large frame, but not enough meat on it, giving a slightly undernourished big-boned look. They are all very straight-looking, but not rough (based on the offs that I have had).

Tattoos aplenty - the one thing that mars an otherwise desirable collection, to those like me who prefer bigger, more muscular boys.

Most of their boys are more masculine but "rough" is not fair, many bars have boys who have tattoos (and please let's not be judgmental about tattoos in Thailand, often to do with religious beliefs, warding off of evil spirits, etc.), and this changes by the day in all bars as working boys come and go.

- It's no more pushy than any other of the bars. The captains will usually ask if you would to talk to one of the boys etc., but 'pushy', not fair

To be frank I've taken many young men from this venue. I like masculine but quiet & polite young men and for me that would describe a good percentage of the working boys them seem to employ. And of course the 'profile' of their boys changes by the day as in every bar.

Two young men i've met there have become close friends, one of them, very masculine, polite (works daytime in one of the hypermarkets) brings other young men around regularly for 'fun', they are boys who have never worked in or visited gay bars (and they don't know where 'Mr X' and I first met). I do know that he meets most of his 'playmates' at Dude club. They are all masculine, quiet, respectfull, polite, horny and looking for some 'fun', some have religious tattoos.

Ok, it was a few months ago that I ventured in, and trust me, the night I went I found the guys bigger, rougher and more pushy than the norm in Pattaya. I simply wanted to suggest to the poster that he was more likely to find what he was looking for in A-Bomb than the most of the polite twinky bars elsewhere in Pattaya.

If you have a better suggestion.. feel free.. otherwise please dont be so precious

.... anyway, I'll go back next month for a 2nd look and will be very happy to eat my original comments if I can find a suitable companion !
