i've had a chat with a massage guy from hero, who after his 'office hours' heads to the go-go street on suriwong, sits at the open-air bar (which is at the very beginning of that street/soi) and waits for customers. he charges a minimum 1500 baht and it seems that this is truly his lowest charge. he admitted to be earning around 60,000 baht per month, which is more than comfortable income in bkk.

my main problem with the sex-for-money business is that most thais in that line of work tend to be straight and sex with them simply isn't good. it's mechanical (if they manage to get hard, which is not guaranteed) and lacks passion. for them, we all look alike, whether old, young, fat, fit, balding, with hair, short or tall. they're ok as the last resort, but definitely not before all other options are explored.

Convenient Hotel to stay in is the Le Meridian which is on Suriwong Road, directly opposite the night market in Patpong and a 100 metres from Soi Twillight. Safe atmosphere in and around the hotel. Good shopping at your door step.

2.2. - Thus it was to the GF. BOYS BANGKOK., wch. became fuller and fuller with apparently no restrictions on the numbers who were allowed entry;
- Drinks at 300.Bh.;
- My E&AF. noted that it seemed to be mainly SGPeans. - judging from the looks of those who were desending from, and availing of the GF. hawng nahm, & returning to the upstairs DREAM BOYS.;
- The 2230.hrs. show started some 15 mins. late; the first few acts - they walked-OUT after the 4th. one - consisted in the main of either screaming katoeys or a couple queans, the volume of whose mics. seemed to be turned UP to MAX.!

Full house DREAMBOYS!

I am not sure I believe it, but when I tired to enter Dreamboys on Saturday night, just before show time, I was told that the house was full, "no seat." The doorman tried to get me to go to Boys Bangkok, "same show, same company." He said. I declined and left.

I normally make one trip to soi Twilight per visit. Usually I have a beer or two at Banana Bar watching the foot traffic. When it's show time I head into one of the bars. Usually Dreamboys, but I have been to most at least once.

Dreamsboys and Boys Bangkok have been having a combined show for a long time now and that show has been at Dreamboys. After the show everyone is sent down stairs to Boys Bangkok.

I have never seen anyone turned away from Dreamboys show for lack of seats. The just keep cramming people in as they arrive.

So, why this time? I am guessing in preparation for high season maybe, the BBB group is trying to fully operate both bars again complete with two shows, one in each bar. Perhaps the doormen have been tasked with balancing out the attendance in both bars. Not sure. But, I wasn't interested in going into Boys Bangkok, so I just left.

Actually, I went back to Banana Bar and had a few more drinks, then left. Banana Bar has had a bit of a remodel. I liked it. Looks a bit nicer and more comfortable. I like watching the hot doormen at Hot Male. Hot Male is now operating the bar next door too, renamed "Hot Male 2."

Nothing new, they fill Dream Boys and then the overflow goes to Boys Bangkok, if there are customers. Much better than cramming everyone in one bar. Then the show starts in Dream Boys and repeats down at Boys Bangkok at a 15 to 20 min delay. Boys Bangkok does not have the stair case and the drop down pulleys but it's basically the same show.

Then the late show, midnight, generally not as well attended, moves down to the smaller bar, Boys Bangkok.

Makes sense if you own two bars next to each other and can't always fill both in every night. Still the only two non-smoking go-go’s on the soi. Ocean Boys has pretty good ventilation, so unless your next to a smoker it’s not a smoky house, the rest are smoky and you’ll come out with that odor on your clothes and hair.

I think the Banana Bar has a new manager or owner?

Over recent months, I have been turned away from Dreamboys a couple of times due to the bar being busy, and I am not surprised - it is the best boy go-go bar in Bangkok! No problems getting in during the week though or if you go there about 30 mins before scheduled show start.
