Angry PATTAYA please

Hi guys
I checked message board for Pattaya /bars/massage/mamasan etc etc for the past 4 years and noticed that there is almost no info or review of bar activity there in the last year or so,

Apologizing in advance for not being original I would like to kindly ask for some more detailed/updated information on bar shows/activities there. Specifically I am interested in so called sleazy bars where boys are enthusiastic about approaching customers, getting naked/erect, bars that perhaps have some bigger rooms for voyeurs watching other guys engaged in sex.
From what I read in the past years Kaos, K Boys Tom Yum, Nice boys, Holidays-boys would be the offering that kind of entertainment.

I read that several years ago Happy Boys allow you to go upstairs and have a look at other guys having sex.

I will be in Pattaya for two weeks at the beginning of May 2010 and would greatly appreciate your comments and advice. I was there 2 years ago but without any real recommendation I really did not know what to expect and after having a peep at boys dancing I usually left for another short and disappointing inspection.

you might try the message board on Gay Thailand - The Information Center for Gay Thailand, Gay Pattaya, Gay Bangkok, Gay Chiang Mai, Gay Phuket and Sunee Plaza. as it is more pattaya-focussed

Slease is basically limited to Sunee Plaza.

Happy has been closed for a few weeks but will reportedly reopen tomorrow. The upstairs provides opportunities to explore your new friends major assets.

Tom Yam is sleeze but the boys are on the young side , Krazy is for sale and a shadow of its former self, Sundance is now a beer bar, Cat's is closed and generally the whole place is toned down compared to what it was even a year ago.

Pattaya's a go-go bars.

-- My enthusiastic & American friend & I were in PATTAYA from 11th.-15th..

- 11th. to SUNEE PLAZA
- Our initial walk around was so disappointing, even for a sunday before the Songkran Fest'l.: what I felt to be a gen'l. air of doom & gloom, with just a few bars appearing to be hanging-on grimly before the expected "Time, gentlemen, please." would be called and the bell rung.
-- TOM YUM A GO-GO BAR: ETA. approx. 21.3O.hrs.. Drinks 14O./15O.Bh.. The usual & mostly young looking twinkie boyz. Several older ones playing openly with themselves and trying to interest us. Possily half-a-dozen or so spectators. A couple of v. young looking twinks attached themselves to me and asked to be 'Offed.'; both alleged that they are over 18YO. and have IDs. to prove it; both said that they were prepared to do anything.
-- We looked-in at a couple of other bars: pretty much the same scene, although the boyz tended to be older.

- 12th. to BOYZTOWN -
-- FUNNY BOYS: ETA. around 21.3O.hrs.. Drinks 14O./15O.Bh.. Possibly a score or so of boyz on parade with a couple of fairly good looking ones there; just an handful of spectators. A NO SMOKING bar with music not loud.
-- Then to WILD WEST BOYS.. Possibly a score or so of boyz on parade and a similar number of spectators. Show started promptly at just before 22.3O.hrs.; nothing v. daring by BKK. stds., but well-put-together and no long waits between acts. A NO SMOKING bar; after leaving we noticed several boyz outside smoking ciggies. while they were OFF-stage.

- 13th. - back to BOYZTOWN -
-- WILD WEST BOYZ: ETA. 22.OO.hrs.. A good 5O or so spectators. Show differenty from previous night but following the same gen'l. lines.
-- Then to A BOMB. Mature men, many of whom are tattooed. Possibly the last such bar for many such men before it'll be time to retire.

- 14th. - to SUNNEE PLAZA -
-- To KRAZY DRAGON - OMG., :-( , such a discouraging sight within: just a couple of boyz in briefs dancing on the central bar; another two or three in their trad. & white shorts and a small handful of waiters. Somany off & away for Songkran, I was told; but they'd return on saturday.
- A NO SMOKING BAR; music not too loud.

-- PS. - One evening we passed by CATS - it was CLOSED.

How many?

"My enthusiastic & American friend ..."

Does that mean:

- An American friend (is 'American' meaningful), and
- An enthusiastic friend

Total of 2 friends, or....

There's no doubt many boys have gone home for Songkran, - even Jomtien Beach has far less free lancers and bar boys than usual. However perhaps more significant is the depressed state of tourism which means there's far less farang money to go around and many boys have been forced to go home or find a real job.... and the offer of 500bt a day (I've even heard of 1,000 bt) to join the red shirts has syphoned off a lot more to BKK in the last few weeks.
Favourite bar at the moment is Funny Boys... and for beefier boys Crystal has re-opened in same soi as Wild West, towards the beach end on Left hand side. In Sunnee Eden beer bar has some fun friendly boys who will chat, flirt and may be offed. Unlike go go boys, these boys are however very selective and there's no pressure on them to accept an invitation from a farang they dont fancy! So be nice

-- My Enthusiastic & American Friend and I were in PATTAYA from 12th.-16th.oct.; he needed some R&R. away from the stresses & strains of his professional career;
- Apart from the 13th. the weather was mostly o'cast. & damp - not encouraging one to go to DONGTAN BEACH, where, unsurprisingly, there weren't all that many beach-boys etc. hawking their svces. & wares.

-- Pattaya's South rd. is being re-made up, thus rd.-tfc. is being re-routed on Pattaya 2nd. rd. between the South rd.:2nd. rd. i'sect. for approx. a couple of hundred yrs. towards BOYZTOWN; a similar stretch of Beach rd. is CLOSED temporarily to rd.-tfc. also.
- Rd.-tfc. to & from JOMTIEN is being re-routed, too, in the gnl. area of the Pattaya 3rd. rd. fly-over because of re-surfacing.

wondering why there seems to be a different route that the bus use from ekkamai to pattaya vs. v.v. the trip from ekkamai to pattaya took more than 3 hours, with the bus stopping at some bus depot after the bkk sukhumvit road. then along the high way, suddenly turning right to what seems like a side road.

the trip back was high way all the way, and took only 2 hours. is there a faster way from bkk to pattaya?

there are a lot of DEA banners accross beach road in pattaya, but i guess the message it did not permeate the sunee area. when i was in one of the bars, i saw a farang snorting some powder out of a small container he held in his hand. He later gave some powder to the boys, who put it in the tranparent plastic bag. which i was wondering how weird is that snorting whatever drug that was in a plastic bag. anyway, i quickly left as i do not want any chance of the BIB to ruin my vacation.

-- Y'day., (15th.), evening I ret'd. to one of my fav. & twinkie-boi a go-go bars in SUNEE PLAZA and witnessed a similar thing;
- Possibly an English-person, judging by his accent, was sniffing & distributing what looked like some powder to most of the bar's boyz who had gathered around him;
- Not all of them surrounded him, I noticed - thus I was able to enjoy the pleasures offered by a young, dark-skinned & well-enough endowed - by the stds. of that particular a go-go bar - young man.

I see this only now-being back in BKk for a day or 2. NO-it may or may not happen-plus that you did not tell what type of bus it was (the all-blue supposed express or the white/orange 2nd l-all main stops. But any bus can be diverted into the depot-for fuelling or you may even need to change.
A much faster (generally) and with the added plus of delivering you at any adres in PTY is the BELLbus from AIRPORT, at the odd hours (7-9-11 etc.). Now that airportrail works, a workable alternative. Book direct at desk at (I think) level -1, 1 up from train, same as airportbuses. NOT the BUSterminal at swampy.

Pattaya Bar update

Just back from spending four nights in Pattaya staying at my usual haunt Dusit D2, only minutes walking from Boyztown. Quality of boys not so good this trip although maybe Ok at Wild West Boys, Cupidol and Kawai Boys. Boys Boys Boys was just awful. So were most of the bars in Sunee plaza which is now middle east central. Maybe they should rename the area Sunni plaza. Anyway, back in Boyztown I enjoyed the live shows at the Wild West Boys and Kawai Boys. In fact I think it is the same dance troupe in both bars and maybe in the other bars as well? Maybe that's why the shows are staggered. Missed the show at Copa this time, but saw their mediocre boy lineup. Took an absolute dud upstairs at Happy Place.

Pawanthip thai massage ...

-- During our a/m. vacation in PATTAYA my Enthusiastic & American Friend visited PAWANTHIP THAI MASSAGE. twice -
- addr.: 564, M.10., Pattaya Sai 2nd. rd.,
(Nr. MIKE HOTEL.), Nong prue,
CHONBURI, 20150.;
- loc'n.: on Pattaya 2nd. rd. adjacent to MIKE HOTEL.;
- tel.: (038)-710 132.;
- web: n/a.;
- hrs.: approx. 11.-23.oo.hrs., or maybe later if many customers.

-- Both times my E&AF. chose the same masseur, a young looking man possibly just out of the monkhood, judging by his shaven head & eye-brows;
- Later he told me that his masseur wanted to go to his hotel to give him a pedicure and then to spend the night with him.

-- Based-on his enthusiastic rpt. I visited but once and chose a mature looking masseur: Khun Nai; early 30s. & hails from I-San; speaks adequate enough English;
- ETA.: approx. 17.oo.hrs.;
- Curtained cubicles, approx. 07'.06". x04'.06".; curtains extend approx. 07'. above fl.-level - thus discretion advised! Mattress on the floor - clean bed-linen;
- No showers, thus one should shower etc. beforehand in one's htl. or elsewhere; after an oil-massage one is rubbed-down with a towel to remove any surplus oil;
- I chose my usual 90mins'. & oil-massage for just 400.Bh.;
- As it would be an oil-massage I gestured to Khun Nai to remove his tee-shirt & masseur's trousers, but he pointed to outside the curtains & shook his head - but he did roll-up his trousers' legs;
- A good & thorough massage, with a certain amt. of att'n. & of time being paid to those parts upon wch. the sun ... even if it did lack any effleurage and fancy strokes;
- At the right time his fingers started their skillful work upon a particularly sensitive part of my body, and I felt that it would be pleasurable for him for me to reciprocate by offering some 'sa-mook.' - to wch. he didn't object;
- In our talking he told me that OUT-calls were acceptable and at no extra charge. He added that I was his first customer of the day; to my query he replied that the parlor presently handles some 20 customers per diem, mostly for foot-massages;
- When all was completed I was offered a cup of hot & of black tea.

-- A couple of evenings later I asked my E&AF's. masseur if he'd like to return to my hotel to massage me there; after some moments of chatter he didn't appear to be all that interested - so I wasn't interested any further; his (financial) loss - not mine!

It's not...it's also not difficult for them to recruit foreigners to work undercover.
