- A fairly varied perf., with the last one being mildly erotic;

- I thought that EROS BAR was just another Beer Bar, but a 'phone.-call from Australia to my E&AM. friend, we were on DONGTAN BEACH at the time, prompted me to visit;
- It's under the same mngmnt. as HAPPY BAR. - hint, hint!
- NO smoking and backgd. music not too loud;
- In my 1st. visit, 07 apr., the young men were wearing shorts, for the 2nd. on the flg. night it was G-strings/pouches;
- Non-alc. drinks were 90.Bh.;
- Not all that many customers at first, but at approx. 23.45.hrs. a gp. of 5 farangs entered and sat-down together. From time to time one YM. or another enjoyed the att'ns. of one or of another of that gp. - possibly to his financial gain? In fact some of the loose chairs were turned-around with the farangs on one side and the bar's YM. on the other, wch. made it easier for a YM. to join a particular farang for pleasuring when called. During my 1st. visit I was joined by khun Klint, (?), 25YO.: small body and ditto elsewhere;
-- For my 2nd. visit, 08 apr., I enjoyed the att'ns. of khun Blue: a tallish YM. with a lean body and a neat but well-developed arse wch. he delighted in shewing-off - one could see why G-strings/pouches were so popular! In short I was minded to invite him to join me for the night, but second thoughts prevailed - one BF. is quite enough, both financially and otherwise - and I ret'd. alone to my hotel;

- Non-alc. drinks at 90.Bh.;
- NO smoking indoors, wch. was quite full with farang customers;
- At first I was joined by #8. who said that he remembered me from a previous visit - possibly so?
But I decided that he might do better with someone else and let him go. Thereupon #3., who had been making eyes at me, joined me for a drink before we went upstairs where he told me that an Hand-job & Smoking would be just 500.Bh. but the Final Favor would be all of 1K.Bh.! Not overly well-endowed but a good smoke all the same. No sooner had I ret'd. to the GF. then it was 19YO. #26. who joined me for a drink and who prevailed upon me to go upstairs again - well, how could I possibly refuse such an offer? Another smoking session but this time he grabbed hold of one of my hands and made it all too plain where one of my fingers should go - delighted moans & groans shewed that he had what he wanted;
- After a while a couple of the YM. removed their shorts, wch. they balled-up and held before them, and walked-around au naturel. I noticed that quite a few other YM. were making their preferencefor what they wanted upstairs all too clear.
- At approx. 23.45.hrs. I decided that enough was enough - the bar had started emptying-out by then - and ret'd. alone to my hotel.

On 14th April I made a one-night stopover in Pattaya & was greeted by hoards of water throwing Thais & tourists partaking in the Songkran festival. I was completely drenched when I finally got to my hotel on Soi 8 Beach Road. Groups of people lined the roads & sois with buckets & water drums & water guns, that there was no way of avoiding them. Luckily they stopped their water games at sunset, so the evening was relatively dry.:)
After a dinner & movie date with a Gayromeo contact, I headed to X-Boys Bar in Boystown for their last show past midnight, but didn't get to see much as I was distracted by Rocky, a smallish but sinewy guy from Nakhon Phanom who quoted 1000baht for short time(2 hours). After paying the 400baht off fee we headed for the open bars at Soi 8 where the girls are to be found. We had quite some fun dancing & singing with the girls where drinks were much cheaper than in Boystown gay bars.
Everything went well until we triend to go to the room. Apparently the Eastiny hotel chain management are less welcoming towards ladyboys, but openly welcomes female prostitutes(the reception later clarified that the hotel had some bad experiences with ladyboys previously, or perhaps some straight guests weren't too comfortable with ladyboys). Rocky had too much make-up on & was thought to be a ladyboy, but in the end the hotel security relented & we had some happy times together.
The previous night I was in Bangkok to join the huge crowd in Silom. To escape the water & powder combination attacks, I took refuge in Dragoncastle 3, a ladyboys & girls bar in Patpong. How the drinks were so much cheaper than in gay bars!(100baht for host, 120 baht for guest & 160 baht for mamasan). And it was totally acceptable(I was encouraged) to check out the physical attributes of the hosts! A 100baht tip was warmly accepted. Girls can be fun actually( at least visiting ladyboys bars).

After an unseasonally wet, windy and cold high season, perfect weather has returned to Pattaya (if a little humid later in the day.)

Low season sees fewer farangs around, but surprisingly plenty of boys in the bars, and on Romeo - "so many boys, so little time"

Good Boys in Sunnee is "for sale" - otherwise no fresh closures or openings.

The local paper reports 2 shops selling sex toys have been raided and closed, and some Pattaya beach umbrella operators have been busted for building stacks of deck chairs to create "rooms" for lady boys and prostitutes to ply their trade on the beach during daylight hours ! Get a room !!

Today the first jelly fish of the season drifted into the shallows at Dong Tan beach. Propbably harmless but about the size of a tea-cup and saucer- last year there were thousands of them but I think they're very early this year. Not good news for beach cruisers !

I'm due in Pattaya in 4 weeks so this thread is of some interest to me. I can confirm that Eros has a ST room available which is reasonable clean. On my first visit the boys wore baggy shorts and due to having virtually no customers apart from myself & friend danced very listlessly. A couple of night later round about 11.30 things were more lively with about 12 customers and active boys wearing thongs. A turn-on for me so it was then when I visted the ST room for an hour or so.
As well as offing boys from the bars & gogo's we visted Sansuk Sauna which is a little difficult to find but is rather nice inside with elegant decor and small swimming pool & gym. On arrival at about 6.30 pm there was a number of older farang customers but few attractive boys. We cruised about in the maze area for a while without making contact and then left having not made use of the free condom and lube sachet. The management policy is "no moneyboys" and they have warning notices asking customers to report instances of requests for money. Maybe it gets better later ?.
Dongtan gay beach is still there but is being encroached on by couples and women, particularly Russians. Older farangs with younger Thais are stared at.
I was told about activity on the beach after dark but was too nervous to check it out.
Gayromeo is a useful facility provided the photos match up to reality which sometimes they dont.
Any reent observations or tips welcome.

- 26th. - Our usual concession - in front of the AVALON HTL. & next to the hawng nahm - not at all busy; not too many vendors etc. etc. either. Most visitors had left before 16.30.hrs.;
- 27th. - Poor weather must have deterred many intending visitors; hardly any vendors to be seen;
- 28th.- For a saturday far from busy; let's write that there were enough visitors to keep khun Nat & his helpers occupied but without being rushed-off their feet. In the a'noon. v. few young men who work in bars seen in the neighboring concession - unusual. It would be around 17.hrs. that most visitors would have ret'd. to their homes, hotels or withersoever;
- 29th. - Sunday was a little busier, especially for some of the Thai masseurs and others selling their own brands of svces.! Around about 15.hrs. a noticeable influx of young men seen; but I have my doubts if they had enjoyed a strenuous & profitable saturday night in their bars? :(

--26th., 27th. & 28th. my Enthusiastic & American Friend and I started our evenings by visiting FUNNY BOYS. - not the most exciting of places, but no smoking of ciggies. & LOW bkgd. music are welcoming.
- We noticed that #50. was not present for any of the evenings visited; we eyed #09., a pale skinned & pleasant looking YM., and my eye then wandered to #07..
- 27th. & 29th we then went to HAPPY PLACE. for its 22.30.hrs. show, wch. we thought was well put-together & presented. Our soft drinks were 100.Bh. each; again a no smoking estab..
-- On 28th. I visited CARTIERS - Soi Lengkee, (3rd.rd.); ETA. 22.25.hrs. - just before the start of their, (first?), perf.; in short the LESS written about the perf. the better - l-o-n-g intervals between acts and the acts themselves mostly v. much the usual, although for the last act five boys came-on stage, stood there for awhile and then started to circulate amongst us dozen or so spectators so that we might feel their appendages, two of wch. are both longer than avg. and of a v. good girth - a good wt. in one's hand!; one felt as though he is c'cised. and the other two are avg. PLUS; we were not permitted to 'smoke' anyone of them: :(
- Drinks at 200.Bh.;
- In summary: a long way to go for v. little, really.

how much do you pay for the baht bus at these ours when you travel from cartiers to sunee or vice versa? is there a cut off time when these buses becomes private vehicles for hire?

1.- I do not have an accurate map of PATTAYA to hand. From CARTIER* pick-up a baht-'bus. at the 'sect. Soi Lengkee 1:Soi Buakhao,. where there are both a 7/11. & a FAMILY MART, at the opposite end of Soi Lengkee to its i'sect. with Pattaya 3 rd., (ie. you're walking along Soi Lengkee 1. towards Pattaya 2 rd. and MIKE'S SHOPPING MALL.),. The baht-'bus. is 10.Bh. and will drop you off when it turns RIGHT from S. Pattaya rd. onto Pattaya 2 rd., (at the SMART STUDENTS' SCHOOL.,
LHS.); thence you can walk to SUNNEE PLAZA.
2.- As far as I can see any empty baht-'bus. will become a pte. veh. for hire if it's empty; but better to obtain confirm'n. of that first.

- Ten or so young men seen; had one not been advised otherwise one might have been excused for thinking that all too many of them appeared to be under-aged - AYOR.? :( This Thomas Didymus asked the M'San. and was assured that they're all over 17YO.; Really? I shallhave to buy some new glasses.
- Checking with the M'San. he has an OFF-premises 'Short time room.': off fee at 300.Bh., room for two hrs.at 400.Bh. &1K.Bh. as TIP. for one's companion.

Same owner as Happy Bar - guys slightly older - have a screened off "fun zone" at the rear left of the bar. Large bar lacking the atmosphere of Happy. Boys parade on large central stage with seating on all 4 sides. They generally wait to be invited to sit - one or 2 cuties - beer only 100 bt. worth a visit.

General comment - bars in both Sunnee and Boystown closing at an alarming rate. If in Pattaya please do support them, or within a year or 2 they will all be just a fond memory !!

looking at the pics on the web site I find nothing that intices me to visit the bar - because of the boys shown or because of the bar images shown or because of the atmosphere implied, so why should I care if it closes? there are many other bars I would prefer to visit in Jomtien or Boyztown or even Sunee Plaza!

I don't really understand this concept that we all need to be supporting all "gay" venues regardless of what they offfer!

I don't disagree with your comments re Eros, nor am I supporting any particular bar. I can tell you however that with European and UK visitor numbers seriously down, the gay bars are ALL struggling and are all in danger of closing if visitor numbers and patronage doesn't improve.

I know several boys who have abandoned bar work and find more customers via gay romeo etc. Anyway, you have been warned !

- We went to DONGTAN BEACH every day except for wednesday,10th. when the weather looked to be extremely uninviting; otherwise it was mainly o'cast. but with occasional break-throughs of the sun; saturday was surprisingly sunny & hot;
- I'd say that, bearing in mind that we're in the depths of the LOW season, DONGTAN BEACH was all too quiet: both for us mainly farang visitors - I'd guestimate that until sat. our concession, (opp. TUI's.), was approx. 30%. occupied, but on sat. a'noon. it was nearer 50%. full - and for the numbers of young men selling khun Poon's donuts, ice-creams, DVDs. and such like; quite a fair number of masseurs/massueses available. V few young men from the various a go-go bars seen - quite a shortage of eye-candy, in fact. :(

Report that EuroBoys in Sunnee will re-open for the high season. Wonderland is now a karaokee, with boys. Not being gifted with golden tonsils, I have not ventured in.

-- A posted notice outside EUROBOYS gave the scheduled RE-OPENING date as 20 october - we shall see?
