OK guys, here's the low-down...

1. newly arrived in BKK (resident).
2. turned on by reading about go-go shows etc. and would like to visit at some time and have some fun...

but:

3. feel a jerk (and maybe just too shy!) going in alone (been openly gay for years, but a bit of a novice, scene-wise! BKK is definitely NOT Old Compton Street!).

So - as I don't know anyone in BKK - my question. Is there any sort of social scene amongst the 'fareng' here in BKK? Seem to be quite a few residents posting here. Where can I meet up with similar western guys (more familiar with BKK than I am) for a beer and chat, before 'hitting the hotspots'?

In BKK for a night I collected a regular buddy from Solid but opted out of going to their upstairs cubilcles (at 300bt) preferring the more spacious and well mirrored rooms of Surawong. The bastards have increased the short time rate to 500bt for an hour. Damn inflation everywhere
