Profile upgrade

I went ahead and upgraded my profile, but I dislike some of the choices, or lack of choices, availiable for some of the new categories. For example, under drug use, there is PNP (party and play), but no 420 (hemp)...what exactly is PNP anyway ?

Some of the categories, I don`t think any of these choices really fit my priorities. And there should be a place to write something if one wishes, and not just in the sig file.

Anyway, you can all go look now, and go upgrade your own profiles. P

I agree... some of the choices are very limited for required fields. How about "average" for a body type? How about something in between "pig" and "average" for sexual experience?

Hey, Keith...

You know I love this site, and I appreciate all the hard work you've done for many years keeping this small corner of the net free for all to enjoy. So file this under "suggestion" rather than complaint, please.

I have to agree with these guys. Not too thrilled with the new profile choices available. In fact, I looked at what was available and decided I'd rather NOT update my profile. I am aware that the specifics of providing search matches require certain responses to be in synch -- however, I think a lot of men who use CFS for sexual reasons might not be quite so particular.

Also, I find a few of the "required" fields a bit odd. HIV status NOT required -- but WAIST SIZE is? I most certainly understand the need for privacy as far as HIV is concerned, but I do believe the "required" sections should be a bit more leveled out, so to speak.

I've noticed a few comments in some other threads from members who also don't feel available choices were properly suited to them.

Perhaps a "fill in the blank" option or simply a multiple choice option of "other" would be appropriate. Maybe ditch some of the more mundane "required" areas -- just let members know that leaving these choices blank might limit potential search results.

I realize this is all easier said than done. And honestly, since I don't generally come here for sex myself, it's not a huge concern to me personally. Then again, the time might come when I want to find some action here!

No matter what, I still find CFS to be one of the finest sites promoting sexual freedoms for all. So thanks.

I know some of this has been covered earlier but the following is a post I was going to make on the message board till I discovered this is a more appropriate place to post it:

The problem I have is that they are too label heavy. It seems that one has to fit into one of the categories that CFS tells you you are required to choose from, or one must leave the entire profile blank to avoid deception.

For instance...

Size: One cannot have a cock that is between 7 and 8". It must be 7 or less or over 8".

Cumming: There are only 4 places one can shoot their load according to CFS. What about on a face, on a mirror, on the wall....or in this day and age in a condom!!?

Body Type: What does "naturally fit mean"? I am pretty athletic and toned, does that make me naturally fit or buffed? And what about someone with a non-toned body? Where is the "average" choice?

Mannerisms: What is the difference between Feminine and Queer?

Body Hair: What about trimmed hair?

The "Scenes" they list are leaving out quite a few choices.

I won't even get into the "Brief Descrition of You". That one is hilarious.

There also isn't a single place to write what you want to say about yourself.

I understand that this is a free site and i shouldn't complain, but i just depise labels.

I am leaving my profile blank as well. It seems as though everyone is. I hope that this is corrected.

I'm glad you find some of our options hilarious, 'ready2splode'. And you're absolutely correct: we ARE trying to force tens of thousands of individuals to fit into some specific options so all of us can better find the one or one's we're looking for. Some changes are coming, based on some of the more constructive criticism we've got, but one of them will not be adding 'shoot on a mirror' in terms of where to blast your load.

By the way, the space to write about yourself is called this Message Board and all the threads you can create or reply to as a registered user. Also, the signature which remains available for you to write whatever you choose is the perfect place to write about yourself. Remember that persons who search and possibly find you, can then use those search results to read every post you've ever written here -- a great way to learn more about what a person says about themselves and others. And probably more truthful and revealing, as well!

In general I agree with the comments. I forced myself into some of the categories but mainly because I think guys should take advantage of things like the profile that are available to them. I understand that it's a work in progress. I know CFS spends a lot of time and money making this site fun and effective, but sometimes giving everyone every choice available does a dis-service.

The old profiles were fine, really. Guys barely filled those out, I doubt very much they'll start filling out even longer ones.

I like that we can submit pictures.

But maybe it's not so much about what we can and can't do on CFS.

Maybe it's just time for guys to come clean.

1. Post if you really want to hook up or start a discussion.

2. Get some pics taken for heaven's sake. Not having a pic 5 years ago might have been acceptable, but not anymore. Do some homework.

3. Be honest and true about your profile. Beware the code words and don't use them, e.g. "Football player build"?

Maybe the idea behind the lengthy profile is to uncover un-truths. I don't know, but I see lots of value in offering feedback. It's clear that Keith and his guys are listening and willing to make changes.

Maybe it's about time everyone on the board started listening and making changes in their techniques and styles too.

You seemed to take offense at my post and I meant none. Really I didn't. I sincerely WAS trying to give constructive criticism but I guess it wasn't read that way.

An explanation is in order.

There ARE so many unanswered questions and I just don't like to lie in my profile. If I want my profile to be filled out, I would be forced to do that.

All I was suggesting was an "other" or "none of the above" option be implemented...or the ability to leave a "requirement" blank.

Being a dude with 7 1/2 inches, trimmed body hair, and a toned body, I just haven't a clue what to choose for those queries as well as a few more.

And what I meant by "breif description of yourself" being "hilarious" was that it's SO brief having to choose your one and two word choices... and none really apply, that's all.

Two final questions:

Persons searching my profile will be able to read the sigature I create? I assumed that that would only be available to those that read a post I might have made.

And is there a way to post my url sites in the blanks provided without having the rest of the profile take effect when i click submit?

Once again I am sorry to offend.. and as I did say it is a great site.

ps Obviously the "mirror" mention was just made to illustrate that there are different ways to shoot then the ones that you want us to choose. I DO still feel strongly, however, that "in a condom" should be listed with the other possibilities for "where to shoot". "In the ass" I presume means barebacking?

I agree that there are many with limited options that still do not fit the answer to the category that one would wish to place there. Why not have a field that is required but not have a selected menu choice -- and use a free form -- again someone could leave it blank or one word which would not be satisfactory to someone who is reading it but then it would be their choice. As mentioned earlier many did NOT fill out the old format anyway. I have tried to update my profile 2 or 3 times and it has never taken the update.

Just want to add my sgreement to most of the above comments. While I'm sure the profile changes were thought to be an improvement, you can't fit thousands of people into tight boxes. The fields designated as required, and the choices allowed don't fit everyon as pointed out above. The additional info could be very informative, but useless if noone fills it out..

looking forward to seeing 'phase II' of the profile changes..

Thank you Keith for taking everybody's suggestions to heart. The changes in the profiles are great! I think you deserve a lot of credit for keeping this site going...and growing!

But I do have a question and I have seen other people's postings who encounter this problem.

When I create my new profile and click "submit"...an error page comes up saying unable to display the page, and the changes I made do not take.

Do you or anyone else know how to get around this bug?
