Question Any updates on Mexico City?

To all the D.F. posters, thanks for the information on cruising in Mexico City. I checked out the most recent sex listings for D.F. but was wondering if anyone had any additional, up-to-date info.

Also, any additional geographical information on the more popular sites (Banos Finisterres, La Casitas II, Banos Mina) would be appreciated; basically, I can read a map, but knowing the nearest cross-street would be helpful!

Gracias por todos, hombres!

LaCasita II is at Av Insurgentes Sur No. 228 - 1/2 block N of C. Monterrey. There is no sign on the door - there is a buzzer on the door; ring it and attendant will buzz you in. Walk up & sign in & pay your admission (70 pesos, if I recall) and extra for a small locker if you wish. Nearest Metro is Insurgentes - take the Insurgentes Sur exit from the circular plaza, it's about 5 blocks & safe, at least until 9 - 10 pm when all the street vendors pack up.

Banos Mina is at Mina 100 - about 1/2 block west (left) off Reforma as you go northeast on Reforma away from the NW corner of Alameda Central. Mina is a small side street 2 blocks north of C. Hidalgo. (Metro Hildago). Not as complicated as it may sound, but best to consult a map & to go in daylight. Pay on teh main floor as you go in (there's a ticket booth) before going upstairs, assuming you want the general baths.

Info I have for Baños Finisterre is C Miguel Angel Contreras No 11, Col San Rafael, Metro San Cosme, but I've never been so don't have any more details.

Latest on D.F.

I had an awesome time in D.F. ... some similarities to cruising in the States, but basically a whole different ball game.

Here's some updates based on my recent experiences, current as of August 2005:

On the down side:

I think La Casita II is closed...I spent a few minutes walking up and down Insurgentes Sur in the block north of where Monterrey intersects, but no luck. From where it (is?/was?) located, it seems like the location is locked up. I went there twice, late afternoon, Friday and Saturday. If it's still open, my apologies, but I really think it's gone. Too bad.

La Toalla, on Col Obregon in Roma Norte, is open, as judged by the signs and canopy, but its hours are different from those posted on this web site. I went there on Sunday afternoon, and the pull-down awning was closed. They *do* have a web site (sorry, the address is not at hand) so check it before visiting. Maybe some helpful soul will post the current hours here.... If nothing else, this is a really pleasant and safe neighborhood to walk through, so it's not a real loss if you wander by and it's closed.

On the plus side:

Banos Finisterre (Ma. Contreras 11) is awesome! This place will give the rest of you gringos (like me) a good glimpse of gay/bi life in Mexico. The outer lobby seems to be a regular old barber shop, but once you go inside those doors, it's a different story. I highly recommend going in for a (non-sexual) massage and a dose of "pulque," even if you're not in the mood for sex. The location is a nice, half-hour (or so) walk from the Zona Rosa and there's a great cooperative folk art gallery along the way. The sex listings on this place are accurate, so I won't bore you with more details (unless someone wants them!). However, safe sex is not the norm here (like probably everywhere else in Mexico) so bring your condoms and use 'em!

To all the great guys in D.F. I met along the way, you rule!

Some of the links posted here are dead now. So, the question is: where do you guys stay in Mexico City?

I was in MC two weeks ago and La Casita 11 is open and unbelievable. Action going on all over the place on a Sun Evening.
Visited Fuck Club on Reforma late afternoon but that place was a bust. Tom`s Bar is still hopping with nice muscled dancers. El Taller was a little young for me since most of the crowd looked 18.
Don`t plan on bringing guests back since hotels are very security conscious. I did meet a guy on CL who was a young business man who met me at my hotel and I was able to take him straight to my room.

Any other recommendations? I was thinking of staying at the Hotel Principal, but it may be too far from the bars you mention. I do not particularly look forward to Mexico City cabs at night, and so having a hotel in walking distance to cruising destinations would be a good thing.

I don`t believe you`ll find any safe hotels close to the places I mentioned. I stayed very close to the Principal hotel and walked to those I mentioned (about 25 minutes) but took cabs back. Just be sure to dress down, don`t carry much cash and no jewelry. Same as in Brazil.

La Casita 11, Tom`s Bar and El Taller are about 25 minutes' walk from Hotel Principal?

Any other good places around that area?

It would be useful to know what hotel you stayed at, since it seems you had no problem taking a friend up to the room.

Well, I live just southa nd west of DF (Mex City), and come in often. I have stayed at Hotel Colonia Roma probably 40 times with no problems with management. Room price is 200 pesos for one or two people, it doesnt matter. They have never said anything to me about coming and going and returning with different guys. I've returned to the hotel with as many as 4 or 5 different guys in a 12 hour period. Just smile and be as discreet as possible. Bets thing aside from the cheap price and the management not being nosey is that you can walk to he brs in the Zona Rosa in about 8 - 10 minutes. The hotel is on the corner of Jalapa and Alvaro Obregon in Col. Roma. Here's how to get there....From the Insurgentes metro, a circular sort of set up with many exits around the perimeter of the circle, look for the exit uner the newer etro bus platform which is next to the "Pan Caliente" shop. Exit there (Jalapa Street) and walk about 5 blocks to Obregon. You cant miss Obregon as it's a boulevard and impossible to miss, also on the corner is an OXXO. Not the first OXXO as you will have passed another one just two blocks prior. If the hotel is full, there is another VERY nice hotel one block down Obregon (to the left) called Hotel Milan, but it'll cost you double and the managment is a bit stuffier. Worth the money if you have valuables as they have safes in the rooms. Oh yeah......get some tacos at "Tacos Alvaro O" on Obregon. Open very late and outstanding. Just for point of reference, to get to the Zona Rosa from the metro, take the exit next to the reataurant, or just follow the crowds. Good Luck!

Boy Bar is great! It's on Calle Amberes, next to B gay B proud coffee shop. The cuarto obscuro (dark room) is something to see at 2 am on a Saturday, with a couple hundred guys (not exagerating). It's an orgy. Lots of cute young guys whose inhibitions have been lessened by dancing and liquor. A real blast! Ifyou dont wanna participate, just walk around, not walking really as it's body to body (leave wallet and cell phone in your room) and watch. Many guys walk around the room with their dicks out. WAY better than La Casita, or at least when I had gone there, because there is dancing and drinking and you can meet people socially with their dicks IN their pants as well. Plus strippers and great electronic music. They even have a "shower stripper" 130 pesos to get into the bar and beer is 35 a bottle.

Las Casitas

I went to Las Casitas today. It was a little tricky to find as it was further down Insurgentes than I thought, but once I found it, it was undeniably the place. It looks closed, but you have to ring the buzzer and they buzz you in. You can check valuables (I didn´t bring any). You can also buy a beer or soda. I went straight up.

Even though it was a Sunday afternoon, there were still lots of cute boys there hanging around. I started off with a sweet young thing with a very nice smooth body and squishy little ass, and then this big ole queen with a big dick came by. I started playing with his dick and the little twink left. I fooled around with several guys in one dark area and then decided to explore. The place seems endless. Again, it was slow, but the boys were more than willing. I had a great time and it was worth the 7 bucks I paid to enter.

I´m staying at a place called 6m9 = it is a gay guesthouse. Very nice and no problem bringing guys back to the room, though they don´t recommend it.

After one day I´ve had enough Mexican cock to last me a few days at least.

The bar scene has taken a turn for the worse, depending upon your perspective. Approximately a dozen gay bars in the Zona Rosa have been shuttered by the government during the past month and a half.

The Zona Rosa looks to be under redevelopment and gay friends of mine in the city tell me that the gay zone will be moving, gradually, to other areas. The action is still on the street, the people you pass or meet and then invite to your hotel.

Also, the sex shop on Genova is where lots of action is occurring. You pay to rent a video cabin - 30 pesos for 1/2 hour - then forget the video and just cruise the arcade. There's lots of action all day until 10 p.m. when it closes.

The Alameda Central park remains a good spot to pick guys up - some want money, some don't. Try to be out of that area by 10 p.m. because it becomes dangerous to be in or near the park after that.
