I'm getting confusing advice about the Philipinnes. I'm looking for lots of easy action. Gogo boys are ok. Beach, movie or ourdoor sex is great entertainment.

Where is the best place to go?

Manila would seem the most comercial and expensive, but there also seems to be some XX movie theaters and parks.

Baracoy is 40% gay (so I hear), and you can sit on the beach in the evening and they come to you (so I hear).

There is a guy in Cebu that advertises for a gay homestay, with benefits.

Any experienced advice about getting some cock there?

Manila is a summation of smaller cities connected by highways. It doesn't really have a centre. The gay scene is dispersed. But in Melate you can find a a number of gay establishements grouped in one place. Some bars, discos, restaurants and even shops are there. Great place to start exploring gay Manila. Bars start filling late, after 10:30pm. Many guys are very good looking. No idea whether any of them are looking for financial gratification. Many seemed financially independent.

There are a few saunas. They're hard to find, but since I found them, they can be found. They fill out very late, around midnight. Not much action that I've seen. But I didn't have time to stay long enough to comment. The staff are very friendly.

Manila is not exactly cheap, but it's also not expensive. No idea how people on their meagre salaries survive there.

It's not a blast, but a nice alternative to Bangkok. It's a lot more fun than any Chinese city.

Be VERY careful in Manila (not been anywhere else so can't say if it as bad). There are some real crooks there, who will do anything to extort money out of you. I was 'set up' in Manila and lost 40,000 pesos, a lot of money for me at the time! I won't go into all the details, but as sh88881 says, be sure of the age of the person you're in contact with.

Why I want to leave Thailand is beyond me! I'm having a great time! I just wanted to see another country. Maybe I'll subsitute an Ankor Wat experience. I have someone there I trust that can keep me out of trouble. Or maybe escape to Pattaya without my ex-Thai bf and get hip deep there

I'm not sure how much trouble I could get in Laos They will issue a visa at the airport which makes it easy. I'm not sure about Cambodia.

I would recommend Manila as a change of pace from BKK, but not really for food or culture--it's just interesting. Decent shopping, and a few active suck cinemas. I was at the Dilson last summer and it was ok, though the guys sometimes want to sit with you after you suck them, and chat with you... while you may be interested in moving on!
I also met a very hot guy on gay.com who came to my hotel and fisted (!) me. We hadn't planned on that at all, it was a first for me. After that we had a lovely dinner! I stayed at the Westin Philippine Plaza, kind of out of the way but with gorgeous, resort-like grounds and pool. Reasonable too.

ok. now for the gay activities.
the gay bars in manila actually have the men dancing gogo - a big difference from bkk where the boys just stand and look bored on stage. they also have VIP rooms if you want more privacy with the man of your choice for PHP 2000 thereabouts (excluding tip for boy).

some big gay bars actually have a combination of gogo boy and guest relation officer (GRO). The difference between the 2 is the latter is fully clothed.

aside from the gogo dancing, the bar also have special men to men fuck shows they call highlights. this only happens on big nigts which is friday/saturday. this is a far cry from the ones shown in bkk. this is more like real people fucking, rather than an acrobatic act.

ok now this is how the guys try to fleece you. the gogo boy get 100Php for a 300P drink you get him. some men can drink like a v12 engine. once you stop buying them drinks, they are sometimes required by mgmt to *not* sit with the customer. so even if he wants to sit with you to increase his chances for u to off him, he has no choice.

the usual campy mamasan are also present in manila, they push anything and everything to u. the bars usually start late around 9.30pm and end late 4am.

in most of the bars the boys also have an "area" portion after their performance. they basically go from table to table with their hard cocks out in hopes you will put a 100Php in their trunks. you are not obligated to give anything, as long as you motion to them that you don't want to touch their dick.

for the touristy place - that would be big papa. this is the poshest of the bars that my friend and i went. it is near the edsa MRT station. my friend was quite pissed that one of the campy mamasan was asking for a drink. i guess to a foreigner like me, it was just ok. but he said that they are taking advantage of a foreigner. there is a minimum of 2000Php if you sit on the sofa or the table nearest the stage. BIG PAPA IS LOCATED AT 2315 AURORA BLVD. FORMERLY TRAMO, PASAY CITY. (INFRONT OF KIA MOTORS, SHORT CUT WAY GOING TO THE AIRPORT COMING FROM EDSA PASAY.) My friend was most unhappy about this bar, though they have the largest selection of boys.

Another touristy place gay bar is White Bird along Roxas blvd. near the Baclaran Church. This place is less bold than big papa. The plus point for this is that it has a short time hotel just next door.

If u have done the suck cinema circuit, then i guess the you should be okay with the following bars.

dreamboyz, along aurora blvd near betty go belmonte MRT station. this is the smallest bar we visited. boys are very friendly - my friend tells me thats because i almost never turn down the boys during the "area" portion. no entrance fee during monday. most of the boys dance naked with a hard-on.

crowdzone (cloudzone) - bigger bar, but don't go during a weekday since they might have very few boys. when i went, they only have 10 boys on a weekday. but weekends are better. they have some goodlooking men, but most of the boys dance with trunks on. good thing is there is a short time hotel nearby. located near the edsa LRT station. go towards libertad LRT station.

coverboyz is a club on a second floor of the old National Statistics office. fewer boys, but cleaner and better stage. there is an extra charge of 100Php if you sit on the sofa on big nights.

i was told that there are a lot more in quezon city but we did not go there as it is infected with old women looking for fresh meat, and the prices of drinks can be doubled than the clubs mentioned above.

I thought the go-go bars like US Male, Big Papa etc. in Manila were not up to par and a bit too pushy for my taste (I guess Im spoiled by Bangkok) but some large fancy places like Adonis and Gigolo (in the Timog area of Quezon City) have some GORGOUS eye-candy hunky guys on large stages on weekends...(I would have never found them by myself... some guys I met in Bed disco took me there).....
