Last night about 8pm I had an urge for a cool beer, and I thought of Golden Cock...but passing Solid just on 8pm I was approached by the tout to enter. This avoids the situation where a boy who is all over you in the bar turns into a dead fish who couldn't raise a smile when you get him back to your room, at great expense. 10 mins with Joe and I was left in no doubt that he was genuine......I think it was when he pulled his shorts down to his ankles and pulled my mouth onto his firm cock that I cottoned on!) He's a great kisser as well and between his lips and his cock he worked me for 15 delightful minutes......whereupon we retired to a 3rd floor cubicle. OK it's pretty basic....plasic beds (no worry about dirty sheets) but air and shower...and he performed par excellence. Tonight I went to Classic Boys (end of Soi Twighlight with swim show) .... FOR THE LAST TIME EVER! A boy's behaviour there so bad (and condoned by the fat mamasan) that I demanded, and got a full refund for the drink I'd bought him before doing a dummy spit and exiting loudly (not my usual style.) I strongly recommend you steer clear of this dive!

I then repaired to Screw Boy with smoke still coming from both ears, to be soothed by the katoies while watching a predictable and uninspiring f**k show. The good dancers have left and while there were plenty of boys, it took me a while to relax enough to check them out. I can usually find something tasty at Screw Boy, and soon chose a couple of fun, attractive gay boys who escorted me to Suriwongse for a nice little party..... so I guess all's well that ends with 3 happy endings!

OK. What he did, (and I'm probably being a bit of a drama queen!) was to severe dent my pride. When I arrived I was the 1st customer.....I quickly chose a cutie and bought him a drink. "Oh, he has customer!" ...."excuse me!...he already has customer...and half his drink still here and I want to off him! Please send him back." Well he said he couldn't...I lost my cool ( he was a very tasty morsel well above their usual standard) and demanded my bill (one drink only) ......they took 400bt for both drinks and I got a rather loud so every-one could hear "phom mai mii kwam suuk...nee noon" and he then returned with 200bt. In all the years I've come here, I've never had a boy do that to me...I've always understood the protocol always that if a 2nd customer wanted a boy already drinking with client, the mamasaan would at least ask the 1st client if he did intend to off the boy or not. The original client would then either pay or release the boy...but it was this lack of conforming to the unwritten rules that pissed me off so much. Am I over-reacting?

I just returned from a recent visit to BKK and Pattaya and thought I would summarize my bar adventures.

In BKK:
Solid Bar: This has been one of my favorite bars and was sorry to find out that the Mama San, Lek, is no longer there. He was always very helpful in finding the right match. There was a small selection of boys and one farang customer had four of the boys at his table. I did decide on a kind of shy young man and the mama san said he was new, so buyer beware.
He was not that good in bed, but was sweet and did stay the night.

Fresh Beach Boyz: This was my first visit to this bar and my last. I selected a very handsome guy who promised the world. The minute he was in bed, rigor mortis set in. He had to be one of the worst experiences I have had during the past ten years. Needless to say it was a short evening.

I cut my Bkk visit short and headed for Pattaya. A good decision!!

In Pattaya:

Toy Boys: It had a very small number of boys working. The mama san said it was low season and that many of the boys had gone home. He said that the police had visited many of the bars the previous evening checking IDS and for drugs. Not sure what that had to do with the number of boys working.

Star Boys: Had not been to new location so was pleasantly surprised. A nice selection of boys and my choice for the evening was a gem. Made up for the BKK experience.

Funny Boys: A very nice experience here. It was hard to decide because so many boys of the type I like. My selection was great. He spent about five nights with me during my visit. He was great fun to be with and look forward to seeing him again.

Lucky 777: Used to be one of my favorite bars. A good selection of guys. I ended up with two boys who were dynamite in bed. I did a repeat performance with them the evening before I left for home.

Wild West: I was not impressed previously in their old location, but really liked the new location and the selection of boys and thought their show was the best that I saw during my visit. It was somewhat different from the usual shows which I usually avoid.

Birdcage: I was disappointed in this venue. There were only two customers besides myself and my friend from Funny Boys. A small selection of boys.
The show was fair to poor. There was one dancer who was really hot and almost made the trip worthwhile.

Throb: A fair selection of boys and the show was ok. Nothing special. It could use some imagination.

Coyote Bar: I enjoyed the bar. Nice selection of boys. I was already taken for the evening so just looked. Would go back again.

Thai Boyz Boyz: It had smaller selection of guys but was ok. Staff was friendly and not pushy.

Can hardly wait for the next trip. As they say, so many boys and so little time.

Point taken! However my definition of "good " in this case would relate to overall performance (i.e. "mii kwaam suk") rather than "who's a pretty boy". (although the Star Boy sounds like the full package !)

I guess it would be more accurate for me to say I have still been able to find really enjoyable long term boys without too much trouble. I suppose, based on that, I over-generalized and said I recently found a[nother] really great guy at one of the bars in Soi Twilight. I was making monthly visits to Bangkok to see him, but then found it more convenient for him to do the travelling to my home. And last week we made a permanent arrangement (one year guaranteed, but renewable indefinitely). He gets a monthly salary plus rent payments for his room and a few other perks. He travels to my place twice a month and stays for 3 or 4 days at a time... I really enjoy his company, but I also enjoy living alone much of the time. He's the fourth boy I've retired from the business. All four hated working in the bars and were eager to escape and all four (who were great to begin with) improved over time after they stopped working in the bars.(And functionning in Nanny-State mode, I've coerced two to stop smoking & greatly reduce their drinking).

I have one other long-termer, now in his 30's, on monthly retainer, but rarely seen and a third who still works in a bar and is on call a few times a month.

Like you, I enjoy having a regular boy or three , but occasionally grow butterfly wings. The regulars have been so great, it may have coloured my perception, but even when I play butterfly I think I've had a 75% success rate.
