Yes- tipping is not in Japanese culture. You never tip taxi drivers, restaurants etc in Japan - and on the couple of occasions I offed a boy from a host bar in Tokyo's Shinjuku -san chome, and Osaka's gay area (where they do exist - but all in street clothes) I'm pretty sure I only paid the "house" charge and no tip was expected.

Agree, I've had 'on the premises' and 'takeout' experiences in Japan, offered extra tips to the boys but all quite surprised and all politely declined to take the tip. One young uni student told me he was worried the master would be angry if he knew the boy had accepted an extra tip.
Overall, tipping is very rare in japan, as biggles mentioned.

Last night Mr Spoonfed & I had a trip to Prime. It being frequently busy in the past few months, we took the liberty if calling in advance to book our oil massages, but clearly the low season cliff has been passed; only 1 person getting a foot massage when we arrived, and a few boys lounging around outside.

No pick of boys but that was ok, being under the close watch of the other half, I need to be on my best behaviour. A chunky guy escorted me to my room at the very top of the house.

The thing that struck me from the moment I arrived at the massage room was just how incredibly shabby the place is looking; clearly they had a very good high season but it has taken its toll on the building. The toilet/shower room was particularly bad - the shower head and soap dish hanging off the wall, as was the towel rail, and the toilet flush was also broken.

That said, the massage was very good and lasted the full hour, a bargain at only 400 baht. No extras were offered nor requested.

wow, we have a house in Thung Kru (15 yrs) and I have never heard the area mentioned on any site. Sometimes go to Male Box near Rama 2 Central. Have local mums massage everywhere but nothing gay, as far as I have seen. Having said that, with KMUTT in Paracha-uthit Rd there must be an opening for action.

NEW are a place in sukhumvit 62=beyond Onnut, currently heavily advertising on Thaimassageboy-even with shuttle bus to nearest BTS!
New was also a place in sukhumvit 24-in the short dogleg opposite Fourwings HTL-pretty close to the new Albury, but thier ads have already disappeared.
The former MAR in Sukh 57-across Ekamai is out of this chain and now names itself as Club 57. i had a report on them few month ago.
Above there was some Q about Tung Kru- i guess shortest by and also ofering msg is the sauna in the Central-circle along RamIII. Long, long time ago there was Bandung-opposite the new HQ of Kasikornbank, but it moved out of town.

First correction on my post of july:
The name of the already closed palce in Sukhvit 24 was Full Moon.
The renamed former MARS is actually Club M-61, as its soi 61, across from Ekamai.
More new shops:
advertising on TMB-usually that means good quality:
HI-CLUB in Nonthburi, off RattanaTibet, soi 17. Oil msg for 60/90 mins is 4/500 THB. This is pretty close to I-Spa and also 88.
G-MAN opened a month or so ago-then in Bangkapi, but has moved to Lard Prao 101-yaek 39, thus quite far into the soi. There is a red pickup public songhthaew there. In same soi is long-standing Men 101. G- now offers all-in for just 1200 THB, thus tip incl.
IN Bangkapi itself is an advertiser in MAX mag: Chantr DAra, in soi Happyland 2, nr. 192, oil msg for 1-2 hrs is 300/550. Pix show the usual Thai style all-open plan, I guess its an all_Thai place with rooms maybe upstairs.

Had 2 hours free in BKK yesterday before a meeting at Le Meridien, Suriwong, so at 4 pm nipped into Soi Twighlight and into the first massage on the right (I think Bangkok massage- before Bonnies).
