Well, aside from wondering why you made a point of mentioning his age, however obliquely, I was somewhat interested in the ages of some of those who have posted their massage stories here.

I don’t particularly want to know the age of individuals, especially if it’s something they’d prefer not be known, but some of the very exciting stories detailing experiences make me wonder if the massage “boys” perform so enthusiastically with customers across the age range or are the more explosive adventures more often with younger farang?

The one really great massage I had at Hero was with a very pleasant young man who decided on his own to smoke me when it seemed a happy ending was otherwise unlikely. I neither asked for that nor did I expect it but it certainly accomplished its purpose. I’m in my early 60’s. Probably a pleasant looking person,for a 60+ year old, but I’m fairly certain no one’s pulse quickens when I enter a room.

Some of the regular posters are apparently resident in Thailand full-time and I assume many/most/some are retired as am I??? Do those who fall into this category (or “elderly” frequent visitors to Thailand) find the massage boys to be enthusiastic in providing massage and après massage services?

This probably sounds like an utter newbie question. I rarely off guys from the bars anymore and have only had a few massages even though I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand over the past decade or more and am now a full-time resident. I tend to prefer the company of a couple of guys I’ve known long-term and therefore don’t have a good idea of how age-conscious most of the guys in the bars and massage places are these days.

I was probably in my late 40's when I took off my first gogo boy from the old Tomahawk bar, formerly across from the Tawan. Had some great times then, but Although I think I'd like to occasionally off a guy or have a massage, I'd rather enjoy my present set-up and the memories of the good times in the past than try to relive the past with disastrous results. Am I being overly cautious?

I just did a test on GayRomeo to see what proportion of boys I like and who like my age(60) group and those I like who don't like my age group. The result is 105 like my age versus the 280 who don't! The age of the boys "taking part" in the "survey" are 18-24, Bangkok Thais. The same ratio came up when comparing those on-line only at 11pm. A similar ratio occured when "poling" Pattaya boys with the same criteria. GayRomeo is magic for that kind of analysis.

The "problem" on Gayromeo is the boys who state their preferred age range is 18-99 - my assumption is that by and large they are money boys and age is not an issue. The group who prefer 18-50 very often (in my experience) are also money boys. I say money boys using that phrase in the sense of anyone who asks for money even those who say "I not a money boy but ...". In my experience the only ones more likely not to be money boys are the ones whose own age is 30+ or who state explicity "I am not a money boy" - and that's only "more likely" rather than "definitely not". However I personally know (in the Biblical sense) at least three go-go boys in Soi Twilight who are 30+ so even that age is no indication of "not money boy" status.

On Sunday 04/01 I stopped at Tuarus and decided to have a 90 minutes cream massage. A small and older man told me all of his boys were very good, so I chose a boy who looked good to me. His name is khun Pui and he comes from Roi Et province. He told me he was 19 years old. His English is very limited.
We showered together and khun Pui seemed promissing...
When back in the massage room khun Pui didn't start a massage but just laid down on the matrass on the floor. I tried to explain that I wanted a massage (first) and he started, not very motivated...
He started to smear the cream on my skin and I had to think of my grandmother applying sunblock when I was a child, many years ago. After 2 (two) minutes, that's when he finished the legs "massage", he put some cream in my crack and tried to top me without asking or saying anything... I tried once again to make clear that this was not what I wanted. So he continued the "massage", even less motivated than just before. On every occasion he grabbed my hand and put it on his erect penis. After 10 (ten) minutes of cream smearing he told me "finished". Being very patient I told him once again that I wanted a good massage and maybe more after that. He showed me the empty pot of cream, said sorry and started something that had to be a "Thai massage" asking me all the time "OK?" I explained him that it was not really what I expected it to be... He covered my body with a towel, went out and came back with another boy who asked me what was wrong. I explained him and both left the room. Khun Pui returned with the small older man who asked me again what was wrong. I explained it again and they started to talk in Thai and left the room. Khun Pui (looking very disappointed) returned with a new pot of cream and started the whole thing all over... for another 10 (ten) minutes.
After visiting Bangkok for almost 20 (twenty) years, this has been my worst experience at a massage place.
I refused to stay any longer, got dressed and gave khun Pui a minimum tip what made him even more unhappy.
I paid the little older man for the use of the room and he told me that khun Pui was a very new but special boy and that if I wanted a good massage I should have told him before... He even gave me a business card on my way out! I don't think I will ever need it...

Later on, I went to Arena (Silom Plaza) and had a decent massage with a happy ending with khun Meow, 20 years old from Isaan.

Following in Sextile's footsteps, I paid a visit to Agaya at Boss Mansion on Rama 4 Road. Sextile's reports were not encouraging, so I considered myself forewarned.

Here's what happened:

Six masseur boys had their photos in an album. Having indicated to the captain that I was looking for skill in massage, he recommended Mah - “professional massage” he said. Looks quite presentable too.

So, OK, “Let’s have Mah,” I said. And then the fun began. He looked high and low for Mah in the premises but was nowhere to be found. Mah must be outside, then. (And the captain didn’t know?).

Telephone contact was then made. “Where are you?” asked the captain. Some conversation followed and after the call, the captain assured me Mah would be back in 5 minutes.

Then a tall, long-haired guy emerged from the bowels of the shop. “You want him?” asked the captain.

“But haven’t we already asked Mah to return?” I said, perplexed. “Is he coming back?”

“Yes, he come,” replied the captain.

“So how can we just pick someone else? We’ve just promised Mah, have we not?” I just couldn’t understand the cavalier way in which promises can be broken. In any case, this guy was much too tall and thin for me. His long, unkempt hair - and the fact that he looked somewhat dopey - was no selling point either.

Or was the captain not entirely sure whether Mah would be coming back at all? Sometimes, it is hard to tell how truthful people are when they’re trying to sell you something. I pressed him. He was absolutely sure, he said.

So we waited. Then he showed up.

“He OK? Can?” the captain asked, as he put his arms on the guy’s shoulders.

“Yes,” I said.

Then followed a conversation between the two which I didn’t understand but from the tone of voice, it sound like “but this…” and “but that.” Nonetheless, they seemed to resolve whatever issue it was between them and the boy brought me a glass of water.

And then sat down with me on the sofa. Which I thought rather strange. They don’t usually do that.

Even though he spoke some English, it was a while before I realised that he wasn’t Mah. (I had wondered why he looked rather different from the photo face-wise, though physique-wise, was very similar. But then photos have been known to be deceptive.).

“My name Ei,” he said finally. “Actually, today I free day.”

So what’s he doing here? And is he going to be my masseur or not? I looked quizzically at the captain, not for the first time. To that, his response was, “He professional massage too.” Like he expected me to change my mind.

But Ei seemed to think he wasn’t expected to work on his day off. Evidently, what I thought had been resolved in their conversation was not quite resolved. It turned out that he lived on premises, so that even on his day off, he was just hanging around. The captain however thought he should be available for my choosing too.

Finally, I had to grab the captain and tell him firmly that I would wait for Mah. I do not go around breaking promises. If somebody has dropped whatever he was doing to return to the shop just for me, I would not want to disappoint him. The captain then called Mah again and this time reported that he’d be here within 2 minutes.

That's really annoying, I had a great time when I went there on 4 successive night during my last visit to Bangkok in November. I had planned to make it my first port of call when I am back for a short stop over in early February.

Mah's massage was quite good. He knew his strokes and his pressure was evenly applied. The only grouse I have was that he used too much oil, giving rise to an unnecessary degree of slipperiness.

After turning over, and him working on my abdomen, he looked straight into my eyes, and I knew he was asking me whether he should proceed to "it". I nodded. He bent over to lick my nipples, while his hands moved into a chuckwow routine.

Not so soon, buddy. I pulled him up to the massage table so that *I* could work on him, examining and savouring every square inch of his smooth body (He had no body hair at all except some fuzz on the lower shin). He was hard quickly enough, developing to average size.

He (not sextile) then led me astray, into sinful, lustful acts.

After we made a mess of the sheets and ourselves, he took me into the bathroom and washed me with due and enjoyable diligence.

All in all, it was an above-average session, despite the organisational shambles at the start, in the lobby. Certainly the massage was good and Part 2 was at least "satisfactory".

I would go back asking specifically for him. I'm not so sure that others at Agaya might deliver the same standard, seeing how disorganised the captain was - which suggests to me that Mah's plus points are Mah's, not due to any house quality standard instilled by the management.
