Hi, Orson. Can't remember the exact pronounciation - either Ton or Tun/Tum. He's not one of the very built bodybuilders - that's why he can do more than 20, but he's got lean muscle. Will look out for the number next trip.

Hi, ye all! I came across a review of a first-timer's visit to Tawan recently at the BlowingWind forum. Here's the review from superflawless:

- He arr'd. in time for the first perf.;
- Bar approx. 75%. full, with mostly young looking Asians, say in the 25-35YO. bracket;
- He paid 260.Bh. for an orange juice;
- He thought that the perf. was o'all. so-so.;
- He noted a fairly brisk trade in 'offing.' the performers, mostly those paying seemed to be the youngish looking & yuppy. HK. & SGP. types;
- He was not aware of any smoking of ciggies.;
- The backgd. music was loud, but not too loud.

- Fairly routine show - but no katoeys' cabaret; several of those on stage are well passed their 'Sell-by dates.'
- One staff-member seen smoking a ciggie. in the bkgd.;

A visiting Aussie friend requested bar visits in BKK. After Jupiter (packed with Asians, show same-same but quality of boys slipping) we went to Tawan. Also pretty full, mainly Asians, more than 20 "big boys" , drinks 260 no one smoking. The show was no holds barred, sucking, fucking , S&M and on stage jerk offs. Culmination was about 15 guys wearing face masks having a j/o race. About 6 managed it before the audience got bored and stopped put tips in the tips jar. Latest info: Last Friday, Tawan had extended show hours even with the cabaret show.

Feedback is that some elements of the show, even the cabaret show has some improvements.

This is my first post, so if I make some stupid mistake, pls forgive..

I've been going to BKK for 20 yrs and have been reading this message board for years as well.
I can remember having cocktails on the rooftop of old Babylon and going to Tawan bar when it was 1/2 the size it is now. I've had massages all over from Ambassador hotel to Hero to Albury. I've danced my ass off into the wee hours at the Rome Club and feared for my life being trapped in an inferno on the 3rd floor of DJ station. I can even remember the amazement the 1st time I got a 1000 baht note. So I've been around the traps...

When I was younger I used to go to Babylon ,"blow and go", and then catch a show at Tawan, Barbiery or one of the other bars. But now I am getting older and bolder, I have offed a number of guys from Tawan (and other bars).
These is just my thoughts to be put into the mix. For every different customer there is a different way of looking at things:

- Don't sit there looking like a spinster aunt at a funeral with your arms crossed and a sour look on you puss.
Most of the guys have a cheeky sense of humour and if you play on that it is easier to break the ice rather than talking about which hotel you are staying at etc(yawn).

-If possible, off a guy that you have had some connection with. If you catch the eye of your dream guy when he's on stage, and he looks at you with cold fish eyes then looks away...twice, chances are that things might be a bit frosty back in the hotel room. But if you get a smirk, or a raised eyebrow, or a touch on the shoulder as he walks past, then things might go a bit more smoothly.
Times I have offed a guy purely on looks, they have been professional, and it is amazing to have a fantastic body to play with for a few hours, but the service was perfunctory and there was a lot of squirmy awkward silences.
Guys who might not be my 1st choice physically, but I had a good time with in the bar invariably have been great offs and ultimately a great experience.

-Manage your expectation. Yeah great first post. I always give them at least B2000 depending what I spend in drinks. I think Respect is the key word. I know they are doing a not easy job. I admire their body, so to break the ice I like speaking about their competition, their work out. I'm amazed by such devotion, such work to build so harmonious bodies.It's a fantasy for me
