I thought I’d expand on what I said in my previous post and show how varied the experience can be.

My worst experience didn’t even involve offing a guy it went so badly.
I had been to the bar a few days earlier and had seen the show. One of the guys in the show did this mesmerizing blowjob dance with another guy. I went back to my table and resumed chatting with the guys I already knew. When I finished my drink I had lost my confidence; I decided to cut my losses and leave empty handed.
Mr Pan met me at the door and asked if I was taking the guy off. I said I didn’t think he was interested but it was ok. Mr Pan said “No! I will make him go with you. Wait!”. I said that was the LAST thing I wanted.
I called it a night and wandered off empty handed and full-balled into the Big Mango.
And that was just a couple months ago...

On the other end of the spectrum…The BEST experience I have had at Tawan started 2 yrs ago and is still going strong.
It started one night when I was sitting by myself.
In front of me were 2 older American guys enjoying a drink. One of the boys I had previously noticed came and sat with them.
I was just ‘people watching’ that night and observing the interaction between one of the American guys and the boy was interesting. The American clearly wanted to off the boy, but was hesitant. Finally, he relented and agreed to off the boy.
As the boy got up to change, from my seat behind I gave him a quiet ‘thumbs up’ indicating “Congrats. You hooked him!”. He smiled and raised an eyebrow as if to say “Yes, it was 50/50 for a while”. That was it. They went off and I enjoyed the show.

A few months later I was back at the bar and the boy walks past and we nod hello. He remembered me and came back and sat with me. We started chatting and joking about ‘closing the deal’ with customers to get them to take them. Anyway, chat chat, we get on really well and one thing leads to another and I’ve paid his off fee and we are off to the hotel. As we were walking out I turned to him and said “My God. You’ve closed the deal on ME!” to which he smiled and nodded and did a thumbs up like the one I had given him when he snagged the American.

I was initially attracted to him because he didn’t have the bravado of some of the other guys. He was not involved in any of the shows (including big dick) and quietly sat in the corner when not on stage. He was not one of the pro bodybuilders but had a good body and a handsome face and just seemed to be a nice person. He also proved to have an understated dry sense of humour, which I liked.

I was staying at the Meridien which has an amazing bathroom and bathtub separated by a sliding door with the rest of the room.
When we got to the room we kept talking and watched a bit of tv. No rush.
Finally Nong says he will take shower, but amazed by size and grandeur of bathtub asked if he could take a bath (by himself was implied). I thought that was a bit unusual…but I thought maybe he doesn’t get a chance to take a bath often? Who am I to judge.

After what seemed ages he emerged and I quickly took a shower.

On the bed with dimmed lights Nong started the typical “Tawan massage” ie pathetic.
I suggested that I massage him instead. I seem to have a knack at doing massage and the Tawan guys go to the gym 5-6 days a week (even the non-competitive ones) so are always receptive to a good massage.
We both enjoyed this and things escalated gradually to a truly memorable encounter. Nong and I were hard as a rock the whole time and we took turns sensually pleasuring each other’s bodies like Lesbians on a first date, culminating in an explosive finish together.

Afterwards we lay there for a while which is rare because usually the boy leaps into the shower before the last drop of cum falls; and the 2 most common phrases uttered by customers of prostitutes after sex is “Get out!” and “Don’t touch the minibar”.

We took a shower together (no bath this time, thank god) and got dressed.

Instead of making him do the 1a.m. prostitute ‘walk of shame’ out the hotel lobby, I went with him. He walked back to the bar to get his bike and I went to a convenience store for supplies.

That was 2 years ago and since then I have offed Nong maybe 8-9 times. Each time we have sex, the repertoire expand a little as we try different things while still respecting each others boundaries.
But more than that, we have become good friends. I meet him sometimes during the day and go bowling at MBK (No tip involved. No ‘off fee’. I just pay for the bowling). We’ve gone to see movies (again no tip) and sometimes I meet him after work at 1 a.m. and we play pool for a while near Patpong.
If I do off him, besides the sex, we might watch tv, or check out his home town on google earth; or download different apps to my iPhone.

I can go to the bar and if I don’t want to off him that night I will tell him. He is cool with that still stays and chats but keeps an eye out for other customers. I either watch show, enjoy a drink, or sometimes disastrously (see above) try and off someone else.

So there you go. There are no hard and fast rules. The posibility is there for a really good or really bad experience. You just have to jump in the pool and give it a try.

Has anyone recently encounted a boy named "Nathakorn Apsuwan" at Tawan? He competes in Thai bodybuilding competitions. I first encounted him at Future Boys in 2000 and at Tawan on subsequent visits. I have seen photos of him on other web sites and believe he still frequents the Tawan. He is indeed a sight to behold.

I discussed this with Mr pan, my manager friend at Tawan, a few years ago. I suggested that alot of customers would be more likely to pay for an on-site massage from one of the guys rather than take the leap and 'off' the boy and take them back to their hotel. If they combined the bar with the boys mixing with customers, and the show, to whip up a frenzy of sexual frustration in the audience, combined with on-site massage in decent rooms, they would be on a winning, unique proposition.
Half the customers that sit on one drink and leave after the show might just sign up for a massage rather than flee once the show finishes. It would also offer the boys at the bar a chance to earn a more regular flow of tips (even if tip for one massage would be less than one 'off).
Pan seemed to say that the owner wasn't interested in that. His business was the bar.
That was a few years ago,before the airport sit in and red shirt protest, so maybe fiscal pressure is the mother of invention?
Perhaps it can be a retirement home for some of the guys that can't be bothered going to the gym every day anymore? There is certainly a niche market for customers that look for older, chunky masseurs.
