Re Chiang Mai- HOUSE OF MALE, the best known ChMai sauna, long established, just behind the parking lot of the KadSuanKaew=Central shopping centre and close to the main uni. Reportedly there is another sauna in the Club 1-7 ''resort'' also open for outsiders, but I think this is not regular.
Old-style Thai house, nicely decorated, but all open-air, so you also enjoy the cold and heat of ChMai-and the mozzies. Fairly large pool with also shady huts beside. Not too big, so even a small crowd can look it like busy. Entry was 130 bt, no freebies, except drinking water and mouth-wash from a tank-listerine type.
Farang on my visit seemed to make out 30-40% of all. Many visitors seemed to be regulars and chat with one another. Customers very mixed with a fair lot of young Thai too, many just popping in+out after a quickie. There are just 5-6 cabins, in an AC-area, not tissue, no condoms(bring yourself), and if busy, waits have to be endured. Also a very dark maze or so, too dark for me. Caution: many up+down steps anywhere-take heed or stumble. Later in the evening one may even see Thai getting close in public-not very common elsewhere.
Perhaps it was my newcomers luck, but quite soon I was nearly dragged off into a cabin.

CFS users will love it: for us attractive as farang seem very rare, rundown, dirty, filty even, but what an action- quite different from the prudishness in most Thai sauna's.

new sauna opened:
gtai net advertises for SAFE HOUSE in Sukhumvit soi 78, My map is undecided if that is beyond the Bangna main crossing or not, but the BTS should come close by now. ENtry for now just 99 bt.
Dreadedned mentions another place ROMEO in Sukhumvit soi 9-but this site fairly often has unupdated listings from 10 yrs ago or so.
The mainly Thai site mangosociety also does a good job in advertsing themed/naked/f..ing etc. nights in sauna's.

The view in the picture is upstairs looking down on to the pool from the Thai style house which is the main structure housing upstairs cruising areas and the downstairs eatery, gym, steam, lockers etc.

This is a fabulous little sauna. The general ambiance is great. Lots of wood, a fountain with greenery in the middle. Went 2 nights in succession. A fair selection of your ave. Thai guy mostly a bit on the skinny side, all ages. Many farangs, locals probably who chat by the pool. As Pong says many seem to know each other and it has the atmosphere of a club with members...

Cruising in the dark and ascending the stairs at night is a perilous exercise but needs must. One area is so dark just forget it. The other has light from a HN. A downside of wood is the creaking as you move. The larger you are the louder the creak. Nimble Thais prance around and others well...

Scored the 2nd night with just what I like. He had been working out in the gym. Quite delish.

Only 130 baht for entry.

An interesting point. On both evenings in my broken Thai the driver turned to me and said 'How of May'... and then took me there direct, do not pass go, down the soi and stopped outside the House of Make. He was hailed as a long lost friend by the ''permanently stationed outside" Tuk Tuk driver AND this was both nights, different fellow!

MALE BOX - in BangKHunTien, along Ram 2-in the remaining old soi between the wings of the big Central/across from BigC. Bus 76 from Silom or the ex-waybus 140 from Pratunam/Vict.Monument.
Entry is 180 bt. There is free water, 3in1 coffee and Thai booze with mixers. Open from 15-24.00.
The 2 lowest floors are cramped and stacked full with towels etc. Warm welcome-reception speaks perfect english too.
In the locker I found only 2 tiny towels and a kind of Tarzan sheet to cover those parts our sexy has these dear words for+cdm+lube. They told me afters this is regular (not the 1/week special or so) and the big towels are only when you order massage. There are 2 fairly smart isany boys hovering around and cleaning-these are likely also the masseurs (5-600 bt/session+500 bt tip). Not that busy on a normal weekday. Mostly Isany younger people-not much of the usual Chinese uncles.
Place is a bit of a maze for 1st time-but upperfloors cover more houses. The cabins are coldly in the AC-rest not. Much open space and set up for much activity in the open-which also happened when I walked through. More showers-cold water only-on upper floors. Ground floor has hot water.
Beside showers there is an ingeniously set up block of standup cabins with glory holes on each side, where you can watch gay western poh-set to double speed when there is not big action. These are the magnets for most visitors in the know.
A young couple was busy, one of them look kreung, and they split up shortly after I entered with the kreungy coming after me- never been chased that quickly. Would not have mind going into a cabin with both-alas, one cannot have asll.
