Babylon sauna ...

-- Today, (05 apr.), a'noon. my Elderly, Frequently visiting & American Friend mentioned that a Filippino acquaintance of his visited BABYLON SAUNA on monday, 04 apr., late a'noon./early evening time;
- Apparently then there were many MORE Asians, possibly from RoC. and/or SGP.?, than farangs.

-- E&OE. as reported speech. --

The presence of RoC, SGP or HKers could be to do with the public holiday on 5 April being the Ching Ming Festival. I suppose the hets. mostly go to clean the graves of their ancestors and the gay guys go to Babylon in BKK for less grave adventures...

Babylon sauna ...

-- Y'day., 02 may - Labor day observed - I went to BABYLON SAUNA.;
- ETA./ETD.: approx.15.45.-22.oo.hrs.;
- Adm'n.: 260.Bh., (possibly higher than usual as being on a public holiday?);
- Approx. a score or so around the outdoor's pool - let's guestimate at about 40%. being farangs;
- Indoors neither the Dark room nor the smaller Steam-room was all that busy;
- INNER Courtyard - with Jacuzzi, larger steam-room & MORE rest cabins - and GF. Rest't. OPENED at 17.hrs.; upstairs cafe CLOSED;
- The gym. did not seem to be all that well-used; not many swimmers, either;
- Certainly not a busy day, even after 17.hrs. when, from previous experience, many Thais would arrive;
- I noted that for the Jacuzzi when it was well ocupied or several couples/gps. were enjoying themselves & eachother then others would enter, but with just one or two therein the others tended to glance-in and then turn-away elsewhere - the herd instinct, perhaps?
- I went to supper at approx. 19.45.hrs. and stayed there about an hr. or so, during wch. time possibly another dozen-and-an-half other happy eaters - mostly farangs or farangs & companions - seen. Cheapest dish was Tuna Salad @ 90.Bh.; most expensive Braised beef in red wine sauce @ 180.Bh.; glass of house-wine @ 130,Bh.; coffee/tea @ 60./50.Bh.. Apart from the Head-waiter only one other waiter: a young lad, possibly just starting?, who made several wrong deliveries of food to diners - but accepted philosophically enough, as far as I could see.
- Most visitors started leaving before 21.hrs..
- Fewer staff apparently ON duty - maybe with fewer visitors then LESS need; Swimming-pool: only one waiter, Rest't.: Head-waiter and one asst., changing rooms: just one seen; one of the smaller changing rooms was CLOSED. I did not see howmany masseurs were ON-duty. Did not see any staff going-around and cleaning the rest-cabins; but presumably that was being continued, as the cabin into wch. my companion & I went was clean and stocked with a roll of toilet- tissue;
- I'd write that fewer obese persons seen than I feared, Let's write that a guestimate of visitors on that day being roughly 60%. Thais & other asians and 40%. farangs - a good balance, I thought.

Is Babylon hit and miss,seasonal only for Nov-Feb or on the skids?

It appears not to have traction since the crisis before last or the one before that.

-- From talking with various working class types: hair-dressers, poor but honest & side-walk vendors, masseurs and suchlike it seems as though BKK. is enjoying a period of post-Songkran fatigue; but possibly MORE so this yr. than previously?
- Maybe the uncertainties of the proposed Gen'l. Election are discouraging some visitors, too?

It was a long weekend holiday -- Bangkok as a whole was noticeably quiet, with hundreds of thousands of people fleeing the city to enjoy their vacations in Thailand's nether regions.

Not really a representative day by which to judge.

I, too, quite enjoy the nether regions of many Thai.

Visited many times between 4th and 14th may and had good fun. Found every day enough free sex with thai boys and men and other asians. For me still number one in BKK

a bore

This place never changes and maybe that is a plus for some people, but having visited and/or stayed in Babylon many times over the last two years I now find it an expensive place to stay, and overrated in terms of talent compared with other venues or contact methods. My recent visit on Sunday June 5 was no exception. The place was crowded of course and I had no trouble finding one or two locals for a bit of fun, but overall I found the place lacking in excitement. I would recommend Babylon to new gay visitors to Bangkok, but now I am accustomed to how things work in Thailand, I find just as much fun, more excitement, and less cost making contact outside such sex venues. It seems to me there are plenty of eager Thais who can be snared with just the right eye contact and a smile walking around in public places. I have also had success with making contacts thru gayromeo.

The advantage of a Sauna is you can see each other minus clothes and pick up on attitude,odour and all those in-person things.

Babylon sauna y'day. ...

-- Today,(18 oct.), forenoon I chatted with a visiting snow-bird who has been over-wintering here in BKK. for the last several years;
- Y'day., mon., he visited BABYLON SAUNA.;
- ETA./ETD.: roughly 13.30.-15.30.hrs.;
- He gave me to u'stand. that MORE farangs - only a couple or so who are both mature & portly seen - than Ornamentals. He met and enjoyed two of the latter during his visit - so feeling satis. he left.

Next foam-party ...

-- Today,(28 oct.), a couple of visiting farangs & I were chatting about BKK's. current scene for farang-gays;
- The mature & trim-for-his age Switzer reminded us that tomorrow's Hallow E'en. & foam-party at BABYLON SAUNA will take place - as far as he's aware;
- The other farang - the visiting snow-bird - mentioned that he's been finding that BS. is becoming LESS farang-friendly than previously, agreement from the Swiss man. --

The Swiss man is not respectfull towards Asians, so how can he ever expect that they become friendly to him?
