I am quite familiar with the gogo bar scene but I ve never been at a massage place. For some very special reason I want to try Hero Massage next days. Maybe somebody who s been there recently can answer my questions. Will the boy shower with me "automatically" or do I have to ask for this? Do they take off their clothes from the beginning and massage in the nude without being asked ? I read that the massage tables are on the smaller side. I am not thick but very tall and would prefer a mattress or massage bed. Do they provide this? Thanks for y answers

Since they have to take off their clothes to shower with the customer, there's no point putting the clothes back on again for the massage, so yes, they do it in the nude.

The rooms are tiny. All the rooms that I have used seem to be similar, but you could enquire if they have some VIP rooms with larger/longer beds. However, no one has ever mentioned to me the existence of any better grade of rooms (you'd think they'd try to entice a customer to upgrade to one if they had) , so don't get your hopes up.

The massage tables don't strike me as narrower than usual. I'd say they are of standard Asian size, i.e. 0.8m wide and 1.8m long.

Even so, the rooms are so small that on average the gap between massage table and wall is seldom more than 0.6m. Since you're not thick, this is not likely to be a problem for you, but some other farangs reading this should take note: you might get stuck between massage table and wall.

You should also note that at peak hours, Hero tends to be full, i.e. no more rooms, so even if they do have a couple of VIP rooms, they may not be available! Perhaps you should try to arrive no later than 4:30 pm.

Finally I made it to Hero last Thursday. When I arrived at 5 30 there were around 30 boys., mostly hunks (25y or older, muscles, tatoos etc.) and 2 twinks of which I took Khun "Sorn" (early twenties, short hair, lean, ca. 1,7m). The "room" was exactly as tiny as Sloot wrote. Nothing for people suffering from Klaustrophobia. The boys (4 weeks working at H. ,GOOD English) seemed to be on the shy side and was obviously relieved when I decided to shower alone. As I am a "massage beginner" I can not judge the quality of the massage the boy gave in the nude, but he seemed to know what he had to do and did it seriously. I enjoyed the "after" too, though not much was possible due to the short massage bed (maybe 1,75m) and I can not judge how much Sorn is able and willing to do. He told me that the Hero has big rooms , too with extra facilities (1500 B /2 hours). Any way it was a nice experience with a friendly boy. In general the boys at this place seem to be relaxt, laughing and joking was seen when I waited for the boy. There were only 2 other (Asian) customers except me. So the place was not so overcrowded as often described. Due tu Sorn many boys do not show up before 5/6 pm!!

Glad you had a reasonably pleasant experience. When you said 30 boys, I believe you meant you could see 30 boys in the glass enclosure. That would be about right for that time of day. To that you should 10 - 20 more boys who would be working the in the rooms by then. That's one of the two reasons why Hero is so popular - it has the largest stable of any massage place of its kind. The other reason is that it has hunks; I'm somewhat surprised there were even 2 twinks.

About the larger room, your report has got me thinking. Hero has two levels of services/charges: 600 baht for 1-hour massage (min tip 1,000), 1,050 baht for 2-hour massage (min tip 1,500). Perhaps your boy was referring to the same 2-hour massage package, which would mean the VIP room comes along with it automatically. That might explain why the mamasan has never mentioned such a room to me as an optional extra ... because it was not a stand-alone option. It comes with the 2-hour massage.

I did not go into details with the boy about the "VIP" room, so you probably may be right. Yes, the experience was pleasant, but in general I never had a bad experience with a boy I offed. I think if y treat the boys with respect you likely get back the same in return and of c. a big smile and a laughter are helpful as well.

Considering what Sloot and Curiouser wrote about the rooms and massage tables at Hero (tiny etc.) I don t think I would enjoy the service. Considering what I read about the boys I am sure I would. hmm-admittedly Ive never been there-and just arrived back here in a quite cool BKk a few days ago-and floated that kratong yesterday eve.
But compare this to nearby CITYBOYS then-Sukhvit soi 8, much larger rooms, all with showers (its an older hotel-hence)-and also a stable of some 25/30 guys in most sizes and ages-not biased to what Asians mostly prefer. 90 mins. oil for 390 bt-and min. tip (IF sex incl-I was told) 1000. Use the general BKK-massage thread for several reviwes of that place too. Seems like much better value for money to me.

Yes, I've liked Body Club (Sukhumvit Soi 8) for some years though I've been busy trying new places and haven't been back for over a year now. I'm glad to hear that the number of boys on offer has increased to 35 - 30 and the prices have remained very competitive. Indeed they have quite big rooms, though the shower stalls tend to be small. The rooms look rather worn though, and the service can be variable depending on luck, but that's true of everywhere - some more variable than others - including Hero.
