I like the boys at this place, but why does the owner have to be such a pain in the ass?
I visited a few days ago. After walking from the BTS I was drenched in perspiration by the time I got there. I walked in and sat down, and the owner immediately called all the boys out for me to make my selection. I asked for a glass of water first, and was given it with a frown. After about thirty seconds, the owner asks "so which one do you want". I was still sweating, so I said "please give me a couple seconds to catch my breath, then I'll decide". He started getting all pissy, saying that "we don't work that way; it's not our style. If you want a massage, you must pick someone right away." I then asked for a recommendation for a boy who gives a really good massage, as my back was aching. The guy said "they're all good or they get fired immediately." Not very helpful. If it hadn't been too late to go somewhere else, I would've walked right out. As it was already 10:00 p.m. and I was horny as hell, however, I decided to overlook the lack of courtesy and just choose someone. I probably won't be going back, though. Has anyone else had this experience there? The guy I'm talking about is an older Thai/Chinese guy, and my massage boy confirmed it was the owner. |

I agree with you, and it is such a shame because the boys are really good, and one or two in particular give fantastic massages. They were closed down during my last visit in August and I had to settle for a lesser massage but I do have to grit my teeth when I go there in order to ignore the owner and concentrate on the boys. But maybe because I have two regular boys so I don't need to look over the 'meat rack' that he tries to parade.

I wasn't much hassled, but yes, I do feel that the owner, the fair-complxioned Thai/Chinese middle aged guy called Dom, could do with giving better service. Each time I go to Nice Guy, I asked him for a good masseur. And each time, he gave the same reply : they are all good. So I stopped asking such questions nowadays, as it makes me look 'silly' and the question is redundant to Dom.
BTW, it's not true that all guys there give good massages. The quality of massage can vary significantly. On my last trip there recently, just to be a bit cheeky, I asked Dom who the 'bottom' masseurs were. He spoke in Thai to the parade of boys standing neatly in two rows. To my surprise, a handful of boys put up their hands to indicate their sexual inclination ! From the show of hands, I selected 2 guys who'd massage me simultaneously. We had a nice 3some. |

Also, I don't like their procedure for forcing a quick decision and usually wait till someone else goes in in front of me so the pressure is off! But, because the owner is strict, that's why the quality is good and they are mostly pleasant and polite and cute boys. I use Sake often, since Dom left, but Dom now is a good friend and visits me frequently. I, personaly have always liked the owner, because he is strict...ie, the boys are not allowed to put shoes on when fetching the glass of nut-flavoured water after you cum! They are also not allowed to finish the session before the 75 minutes. When you consider the time the place has been open, because the owner is there all the time, the standard has not declined.
PS..Icon, if you got a sweat just walking from the BTS, then I suggest you could work out some at the Ambassador gym and next time enter Nice Guys all calm and cool. PS..I didn't know the owner's name was Dom, as advised above. The Dom I spoke of was a cute massage boy from Chonburi. [ October 19, 2001: Message edited by: jtrack33 ] |

Had the same experience at Nice Guys.
A few months back i walked in to witness a visiting farang giving the owner a load of very loud abuse (in front of the full line-up), about: - The way he treats the working boys - The way he expects customers to'toe the line' The owner quickly became extremely abusive and told the farang (in excellent English) to leave immediately and one come back. It reminded me that it would not be wise to 'cross the path' of many of the individuals who own / operate bars (straight or gay). Like others also report, several of the boys have told me that the owner hands out punishments for the slighest misdemeanor, often for intractions of 'rules' that the working boys are not even aware of. I would also readily agree that this venue has some very cute boys, and I've had some wonderful experiences with a number of them.

Previously(a few months back), there was always a skinny guy who used to host the customers at Nice Guys and he would always guide you on which boy was good at certain aspects...personaly, I like the new ones with no experience... and while the owner was there, he didn't interfere at all except to gently intimidate the boys into his style of performance. Then recently, the owner started doing the hosting himself and failed miserably by all accounts. Even though I like to pick the boys based upon first impressions rather than someone else's opinion, I usually ask who they recommend to stall for time while scanning the faces.
Another possibility at Nice Guys is to wait till there are no customers viewing the boys and a lot of the old hands will mill around outside where upon you can chat to them and ask them for the name of the individuals who will do what you desire....then go inside and ask for that boy. |
