Can anyone "in the know" advise as to whether it is possible to meet boys at the Tawan Bar and adjourn to the Tawan Massage for some action?

To add to my answers above, in view of the fact the Tawan Bar and Tawan Massage are next door to one another and the Tawan Massage would by definition have cubicle facilities I refuse to believe that I am the only person current or future who would not have the idea of taking the bar offs to the massage venue (for a fee). I am a great believer in lateral thinking.

My experience is that if a go go bar boy wants you to off him he will more than likely say its for a "massage". The term "massage" as we all know in Thailand is used with gay abandon, pun intended. We all know that massage at a gay massage venue means a massage followed by sex.
I repeat that the venues have the main part of their name in common, Tawan, the same owner, they are next door to one another, people off boys in the bar for sex (or "massage", in other words sex) and the massage parlour has sex on the premises. As I said, lateral thinking. My question was will it be permitted to take boys from the bar to the massage venue.

The Tawan guys want to go to your hotel. This maximises their income (longer time), increases their prestige too really and lastly gives the opportunity for them to connect with you (PI but don't expect too much) and establish a longer term income stream.

As for a massage, when I used to off Tawan guys I had other activities all lined up that would take up the time. They are definitely a cut above the average if you like muscle. Of course many of them are straight...

"Of course many of them are straight". I am intrigued as to what proportion of bar boys or massage boys are gay. I suspect overall a microscopic minority. As for massage boys I have only encounted one who I would say with certainty was gay. I recall a massage venue in Pattaya where the boys and customers shared the same locker area. I could not help but notice that all the boys that I observed when opening their lockers had photos of naked girls on the inside door.

I had two massage experiences during my recent trip. The first was with a massage boy from Apsara who I met online. He was definitely gay (he told me as much about himself over the course of two massages answering various casual questions for me to make a reasonable guess). Sitting at Maxis in Soi Twilight one of the boys at Bangkok Massage took my fancy. It was a long trek upstairs and I didn't appreciate the climb, but very nicely set out, not at all what I expected. A single large shower room with three separate curtained areas. The boy - from Laos he told me, and back to Vientiane on the weekend on a visa run (I inferred) - was almost certainly straight. A very simple pricing system - whatever the massage price, the boy's (minimum) tip was the same, so it's a 1200 baht cost for a one-hour massage. The massage room was a single massage "bed" at floor level, although the floor was itself raised about six inches. The boy was very careful about locking the room when we went to the shower both before and after. As anticipated there was a happy ending (he didn't cum) No issues about removing shorts etc., he just wasn't playful.

I did ask him the price for going back to my hotel room "700 baht off and 1500 baht minimum tip".

I just got back from Semra Day Spa. I would like to warn other people. I signed up for one hour oil massage. The guy I received would constantly go and check his phone for messages. The guy I got ended it in 40 minutes and on top of that he stole from my wallet when he told me to take a shower. What is ironic is that there is a sign on the wall in english and thai that informs customers about their professional service and how they train their staff monthly. When I told the manager/michael (who speaks English fluently), he told me that the massage person denied it. He looks at the clock and even told him what time I came in which he wrote and said he would not charge me for the massage.
I am not sure if I am the only one, but we aware this place may steal from you when they go and tell you to take a shower. Since I count my cash prior to entering this place, I KNEW how much I had.

FAN CLUB

Have had some hit and miss experiences at Fan Club. Of course that can be said about any and all massage places. I usually go back to give it try because I like the big rooms and big showers. I consider the before and after shower as part of the massage experience.

The prices used to be a positive for Fan Club. I don't like the lack of mirrors. I enjoy watching those hot, naked bodies with muscles rippling as they massage me. Fan Club doesn't have mirrors.

Also, I have walked out of there before due to lack of choices before.
However, this visit, I found a guy to my liking. Actually saw a few attractive to my eyes.

The prices seemed higher than before. I believe it was 800 baht for 1.5 hours, my usual choice. Minimum tip listed on the menu was 500 baht for one hour massage. However, I was told by the manager that the minimum tip was 1000 baht for a 1 hour massage and 1,500 for 1.5 hour massage. I pointed out the 500 minimum tip listed on the menu. He said that was for massage only. The minimum tips as stated by the manager seemed very high to me. Not outside what I usually tip, but high to be asked for as the minimum.

The massage wasn't good and didn't last even close to 1.5 hours. I don't hold a bad massage experience against the establishment usually. I have had good ones and bad ones everywhere. But, it's not too hard to make sure the time paid for is met at a minimum.

Based on the short time, bad massage and bad taste left by the high minimum tips being asked for, it will probably be a long time before I try Fan Club again.

HERO

Had a great experience at Hero. Happy to see that Hero is now offering one and two hour massages. Before all they offered was one hour regular massage, no 1.5 or longer options. Now, they have 1 hour or 2 hour options. I wish they offered 1.5 hours, but happy to see some longer choice available. 600 baht for one hour, 1,050 for two hours.

Many hot guys available. Was there on Friday at about 6pm. Many, many customers. Most customers seem to be Asians there. But, I am always made to feel welcome. Service always good.
