-- After waiting some ten minutes an heavily-set & youngish man emerged from one of the back rooms and joined me. He spoke no English, but between us we agreed on a 90 mins. & aroma oil-massage at 700.Bh.; he reminded me that the MINIMUM TIP. is 1,000.Bh. ! Then he OPENED the sliding & fly-screen doors, CLOSED the glass ones and switched-ON the overhead lights so that I could see the four and young men lined-up; I decided that I prefered the heavy-set man;
- However, I was shewn upstairs and into the massage-room by one of the other four;
-- The clean, neat & sweet smelling room is approx. 11.x13.feet; there is a standard-sized & massage table, no cut-out for one's head, covered by a clean cloth, with a looking glass on the wall at its foot and a small table with facial tissues at its head. NO locker/safe for one's valuables - but just an hook & a clothes' hanger.
-- Shared bathroom/toilet; mouth-wash provided; electric & water-heater but of LOW pressure.
-- Back in the room the same young man, a towel around his waist, awaited me. His name is Noom, but as he speaks no English and my Thai is limited there was no conversation between us;
- The massage was acceptable,with enough attention being given to 'Those parts ... .' to let me know what it's all about. After I'd turned-over onto my back not much more time was spent on the massage before he began the business of the day; his appendage is uncircumcised, average/short but quite thick; but as the 'skin. didn't retract all that easily I found it LESS of a pleasure to smoke - however, both of us achieved what we wanted;
- Afterwards a final shower on my own.

-- Seated outside I was brought a cup of the traditional herbal tea - lukewarm.
- There I chatted with the owner/manager,(?); I mentioned my initial & ten mins. wait and was told that possibly the man on the desk was busy elsewhere, the other masseurs were eating, resting and so on and so forth.
- However, as the total time was but 70.mins. I was charged only 600.Bh..

-- Verdict:
1.- A long way for a massage with extras;
2.- Not having the masseur of my choice there was no chemistry between the young man and me; not as wholly satisfied as I would have liked.
3.- Applying Billinbk's three strikes' rule I must give that time a thumbs DOWN:

Went to the Ambassador today because I was in the mood for a reliably decent massage with that little extra. I've been going there since the mid-90's every time I'm in Bangkok and I've never had a bad massage. My very first time I was actually quite surprised when the hunky masseuse began to excite me and jerk me off. I had no idea it was going to happen and a tip was not even discussed. After that however, every time I went, the routine was pretty much the same. The massage involved long strokes and some butt play, eventually reaching under to play with my crotch. By the time I was flipped over on my back, I was usually at full arousal. Sometimes the masseuse would negotiate a tip, sort of holding me hostage, other times not, but I knew it was expected.

So today I went, looking forward to more of the same, pretty much even expecting who my masseuse would be since in the morning there are very few choices.

I arrived around 10. An Asian guy had gotten there right before me. He paid his fee and sat down. I said I wanted a massage, was asked "lady or man?", told it was 600 baht, paid and waited. The Asian guy before me was escorted into the massage area by a masseuse. I sat and waited. Soon, the same masseuse came and got me and showed me to my room. Nothing was said. He gave me a towel. I stripped and lay down on the massage table. After a few minutes, he returned and told me I could use the sauna. I told him I just wanted a massage. He seemed confused. I said, "no massage?", kind of figuring at this point that he was the only one available and he was obviously booked. He said, "five to ten minutes". So I covered myself with a towel and waited....and waited...and waited. You'd think by now someone would have brought me a glass of water or came to tell me what was going on, but nothing. So I got up, used the restroom, got some water and walked around a bit, and waited. Finally, it was now 30 minutes after I had arrived, I went to the reception and asked what was happening. She said she had called and he was on his way. I asked, "How long?" She could not answer.

I know it is not culturally appropriate to lose one's temper with Thais, so I was restraining myself, though I was getting increasingly irritated. I said, "10 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours?" I know I was being overly dramatic, but she could not offer a response. I decided I'd waited long enough, even though I really wanted the massage. I told her I was going to cancel. I began to get dressed. When I was fully dressed, she knocked on my door and told me he was there. I decided to stay, since I was there and really needed a massage. I am just recovering from a nasty stomach thing and thought this would help.

I undressed again and waited for my masseuse. He was the guy I was expecting, much older now and not as buff as I remember (sort of describes me).

The massage was good. I had to tell him I wanted it harder as nothing irritates me more than someone just rubbing oil on me. He complied. He tried several times to get me excited. He succeeded to some degree. Long story short, the massage was adequate, I achieved release, tipped him 600 baht and got dressed. As I was leaving he said, "pay up front".

I was still in a massage haze, so I didn't quite get what he was saying. When I went out front a different woman was there. She said, "600 baht". I took out my wallet to pay and then remembered I had paid earlier. I distinctly remember since I had decided to give her exact change rather than give her 1,000 and get change. I remember her telling me it was 600 baht, and remember thinking it used to be 500 for oil and 600 for aroma, but now there was no choice. I remember the guy before me paying.

I told this woman I already paid. She said she was told I had not. I insisted. She insisted I had not. This went back and forth with another woman joining in and insisting I pay. I attempted leaving but they shouted out at me to wait. She pulled a bunch of money and receipts from the drawer and counted the money with a calculator. I don't know what that would have proven. She called someone. She told me to wait. I finally said I'd waited long enough. I told them what I remembered about paying. I told them I was going to write a negative review and that in fact I wanted a refund. Amazing how this suddenly changed the dynamic. They said they could not offer me a refund but could give me a coupon for 30 minutes free next time. I said I was never returning. It is true. To be honest, the place is a dump, for as fancy as the hotel appears to be. The massage was fair. If I want a real massage I can get a better one elsewhere. But the most irritating part was the service, or lack thereof. I would have definitely been treated better at Hero or Arena or any other pay to play massage venue. The Ambassador is supposed to be legit, when actually it's a dumpy, poorly run relic from the past.

If anyone decides to go, my one piece of advice is - if you pay before your massage, get a receipt.

Visited Bonny massage last week and left quite disappointed, in all fairness I was after a good massage and sex. Went in the afternoon and chose a 90 minute cream massage, was not given a choice of masseur. The masseur seemed quite nice and showered with me, looked to have a nice appendage as well and things were looking up.

The massage was very mediocre at best and no amount of prompting could initiate any form of sex except for a hand job. The whole experience lasted 60 minutes rather than the 90, the room was ok but there was this annoying head-banging music emanating from elsewhere outside. I don't know but maybe Bonny has changed or I just struck it unlucky this time.

Looks like a trip to Body Club is in order.

IF you want more garantee-go elsewhere too, my last visits there (during floods-time tough) were not very brilliant either. IF you know the boy its OK- with anew one its always a lotteree. THis should be the closest to the immigration on ChWatana; BUT it is an awful soi-loads of construction, the shop is way out in a housing compound-motosai should be 12 bt.
Janpa seems to be doing well in suburban BKK-has now 2 saakhaa in soi 101 and on RamIX behind Ram, so I hope they can make more out of it.
For sextile; from immigr it is far easier to just catch a bus to K-male-close by to bus 150.

Back in town and determined to make a good time of it: this is also one of the advertisers on ThaiMassageBoy-and as I have to go regularly to Ram uni this time-and the horrendous traffic going back-first went to eat in Bangkapi and visit this shop. The adress is not hard-but the house is barely marked and thus easy to miss. There were treats though onward: a bakery breadroom did all its left cakes for just 20 bt and beyond the big Glammer sign there is a big restrt doing Phat Thai for 19 bt-I like bargains, but had eaten by then.
Theplace is just a narrow normal townhouse in a row-just beyond a haircare barber.
There was a sign to open softly the door, so I did and saw the boys strecthed out and sleeping. Knocked and they awoke-this was around 19.30. Quite surprised to see a farang, i guess, but they srpung into action. You sit in what looks like a small living room-clear signs about menu and pricing, a pixbook. The receptionist seemed a bit taken aback, but there was another smartie, girlish look kreung with better english. I asked for the one with most experience, got whispered while he showed up he was a ''model'' but this model did not seem interested at all. Then a line up was made of 6-7 boys on the sofa (1 was wroking; the PR-manager!), of whom 3-4 were more Sunee type smaller/.girlish boys-unusual for a BKK-Thai shop.
So I chose nr 2-O, who hailed from CMai/.town. He led me upstairs-they have with modest means made quite a nice surrounding. There are 4 themed rooms-I got the one with a big pink bird./ Each floor has bathrooms-a bit dated, but sexy,note: with giant sized Watsons mouthwash. After further looking it also was that rooms had much more as the usual toiletries-a bit hidden. Mattress on floor and heavy AC-unit in each room. 499 bt for 90 mins oil.
O started with his shorts on, did quite a good massage, showing training and with eye for reactions. With small talk he got over his surprise and the music was also OK-Thai pop for singing along-not that soft greeny. Spent quite some time on my hips and then decided the oil would spoil his briefs-so these went down. Msg got more luscious-he told me he had a course from Big Bird-also on LardPrao.
Sadly part 2 was more ChMai style too-quick, not very sensual, satisfying but not that much more.
All in all: not worth the trip or detour, but if you are in the area anyway, might be worthwhile.
Without asking he joined me in the shower and gave me a good rubdown and shoulder msg after. But the shower was a bit too quick: I still smelt the takray=lemongrass when home-as did best friend.

Maybe this is another find: went to Lardprao-near Central?>Union Mall, the strat of this long road. Had seen a referral to sunshine masage near soi 1 or 1/.1.
This soi is just beyond the Union Mall-a kind of MBK-lookalike small stalls centre, but also with many english schools and hence loads of young english teachers.
Soi 1 is twisting, turning and narrow and heavy traffic in the start. You pass a 7, some bars catering to the beerneeds of the khrus, 2 dailymarts, an open field with a evening big foodmarket (mostly Isan food-it is a low-class area) and then there are some 7-8 msg shops on both sides-many do not even have names. It was between 21-22.00 and thus most were about done for the day. it was notable that many had more male as female staff-mostly its just the other way. I spoke with 2 guys sitting outside who somehow turned the gaydar on and had a pleasant chat-like some time ago in that Onnut-soi. Thai msg is mostly 150-180bt/.hr and oil 300-they confirmed that would be upstairs and with shower (outside).
And that sunshine: well its on main rd LPrao-just at the corner of soi 1/.1 (unmarked-making a shortcut after the turns of soi 1 itself. So I passed on the way back-this is a larger shop-but with no english menu, 2 men inside got my view and tried to lure me in. The www on the rall does not work(anymore).
MRT Phahonyotin is just nearby, seems fruitful for more exploration.

In BKK last night and felt like a good tradional Nuadt Thai so chose Prime 66 off Suriwong for its good looking crop of masseurs outside, both M + F.

No shower for thai massage, just a foot wash and change into pyjamas. Was asked whether I preferred M or F but no choice of masseur. Mine was about 21, slim and gave me an excellent firm tradional massage that stretched all the joints and kneeded all the fibres. Room nice traditional thai, mattress on floor, soothing thai music, dim lighting and pleasant aroma - very relaxing. He stayed clothed the whole time, but at end asked me- accompanied by a hand gesture - if I wanted an extra? A sweet offer, but I declined (I like a little more romance and mutual build up - not a quick one way j/o) but at 200bt for an hour with 100 tip, excellent massage and excellent venue.

(Now that I know the place, next time I'll request an oil massage with one of the other massuers who caught my eye on the way in, and be firm in requesting my choice.)
