Judging from my recent experiences in Chiang Mai, it seems to be quite common for the minimum tip to rise in accordance with the length of the massage.

At least 15 boys on duty, chose cute Khun Art from Hua Hin for a 90 minutes aromatherapy massage at Bt. 800 ad minimum Bt. 800 tip. Massage pleasant but not special. Once briefs were removed Art showed he is well endowed and easily aroused. When I tipped Bt.1,000, I was asked for another Bt.500 "for special massage"!. I explained I already gave him more than the minimum but he said that was for ordinary massage!!! He then asked for Bt. 200 more. He got nothing. So that's one gay massage place off my list.

I have been there (Adonis) twice. Not enough times to be sure? But neither time was great, OK at best.
I tend to agree, have had consistently better times elsewhere.

Tried Senso twice, OK but over priced for the services provided to me, I think. Others seem to have had hot times there, but one of my two masseurs had a dreadful silicone appendage, which seemed to be of no use at all. Seemed not to be able to do anything with it, sad for the boy. No warning of this, of course.

Would like to read a new comment about the two places in Soi convent, Fan Club and Casanova.

I have had a pretty good run at Arena, never a complete dud, and ranging from OK to good or more.
So I tend to keep going back there.
There is certainly a great line up of nice bodies on arrival.
But the place could do with a good clean. Must have looked great when first set up, but the look of the place suggests that that was years ago.

BTW, some time back, a technologically talented poster submitted a table of data about BKK massage places, with comparative prices and some other details.
About to revisit BKK, I thought it may be worth a look, so skimmed back through this thread, and did not find it.
Did I miss it? Possible. Or is it gone?
Help appreciated.

I just discovered this forum after living in BKK for 8 years. Really great forum.

About the price list on this page... based on my recent visits, the average prices have come down. They are around 550-600 for 1 hour, 700-800 for 90 minutes, and 1000-1100 for 2 hours. (Of course, these prices don't include a tip, which is around 1000THB if you're expecting full service.)

I visted two places this month. Gents Spa and UrbanMale Massage. Gents Spa is one of my favorites (gentspa.net == Thailand Gay Male Massage - Massage by Men in Bangkok by male Gay by Aroma Massage Gay on our Spa Gay Male) I think about 5-10 guys work there (cute and young). I've been three times (with different masseurs) and all massages were fantastic. But don't go there expecting full-on service. (I don't expect it, so I'm not disappointed.) Finding the place is a bit of a nightmare, but worth the effort if you are really looking for a good massage. The 90 minute massage was 900 THB, not including tip.

Also went to UrbanMale (Urbanmale Massage by Thai Men | Male Massage Bangkok Thailand), twice, and had an execellent massage and service both times. There were 8 guys working when I went, masculine beefy and skinny-boy types. The 60 minute massage was 600 THB, not including tip.
